Joining with the other sovereign state legislation, Texas Rep. Creighton files concurrent resolution which states: WHEREAS, Many federal laws are directly in violation of the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States; and...{snip}
WHEREAS, A number of proposals from previous administrations and some now pending from the present administration and from congress may further violate the Constitution of the United States; now, therefore, be it{snip}
RESOLVED, That this serve as notice and demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That all compulsory federal legislation that directs states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties or sanctions or that requires states to pass legislationor lose federal funding be prohibited or repealed;
Now I disagree with your stance that the 17th Amendment is of negligible impact. The 17th Amendment is the main reason most states have to go begging hat-in-hand to the Fed. - IT NEEDS TO GO.
RESOLVED, That all compulsory federal legislation that directs states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties or sanctions or that requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding be prohibited or repealed;
And DFL legislators here in MN are scratching their heads and asking "What the hell does this mean, I don't get it??"!
This needs to be promoted and furthered as a #1 federalist mandate of accomplishment.
I don’t think that is true in this case......but that was what I was thinking when I read this thread !
I remember some Southern states tried something on these lines circa 1960. Didn’t work out as planned.
I am ready to ask Texas to leave the Union. We have ports, oil , refineries, minerals, ag, and , aircraft industries, tech and medical etc ..........the nukes or so I hear.....:o)
That post is useless without pics :)
I will do my personal best with the tools and skills the military and the good lord gave me to defend my country. That is all I ask of my family, friends and fellow Texas and other Americans .
Too many good Americans to allow this sedition to survive the year IMO.
Stay safe !
LOL!
I just got my (brass cased) Wolf 7.62X25 JHP 85gr 1600fps. A test shot expanded perfectly to .6” CheaperThanDirt under $20 per 50. That is cheap for a centerfire JHP!
This makes me happy, because one pistol can carry both a pretty decent man stopper and armor penetrator, just by changing mags. Or alternating rounds in one mag.
That’s a real flat shooter with very fine sights on the CZ-52. For sure a 100 yard pistol, easy.
Very cool ! Did ya find anything on the .224 Boz for commerical sales for the CZ52 ?
If not we have a gun show this weekend and I will look on the tables for ya a few boxes if it’s there....
For you liberals beware.
HELL IN TEXAS by Anonymous
Oh, the Devil in hell they say he was chained,
And there for a thousand years he remained;
He neither complained nor did he groan,
But decided he’d start up a hell of his own,
Where he could torment the souls of men
Without being shut in a prison pen;
So he asked the Lord if He had any sand
Left over from making this great land.
The Lord He said, “Yes, I have plenty on hand,
But it’s away down south on the Rio Grande,
And, to tell you the truth, the stuff is so poor
I doubt if ‘twill do for hell any more.”
The Devil went down and looked over the truck,
And he said if it came as a gift he was stuck,
For when he’d examined it carefully and well
He decided the place was too dry for a hell.
But the Lord just to get the stuff off His hands
He promised the Devil He’d water the land,
For he had some old water that was of no use,
A regular bog hole that stunk like the deuce.
So the grant it was made and the deed it was given;
The Lord He returned to His place up in heaven.
The Devil soon saw he had everything needed
To make up a hell and so he proceeded.
He scattered tarantulas over the roads,
Put thorns on the cactus and horns on the toads,
He sprinkled the sands with millions of ants
So the man that sits down must wear soles on his pants.
He lengthened the horns of the Texas steer,
And added an inch to the jack rabbit’s ear;
He put water puppies in all of the lakes,
And under the rocks he put rattlesnakes.
He hung thorns and brambles on all of the trees,
He mixed up the dust with jiggers and fleas;
The rattlesnake bites you, the scorpion stings,
The mosquito delights you by buzzing his wings.
The heat in the summer’s a hundred and ten,
Too hot for the Devil and too hot for men;
And all who remained in that climate soon bore
Cuts, bites, stings, and scratches, and blisters galore.
He quickened the buck of the bronco steed,
And poisoned the feet of the centipede;
The wild boar roams in the black chaparral
It’s a hell of a place that we’ve got for a hell.
He planted red pepper beside of the brooks;
The Mexicans use them in all that they cook.
Just dine with a Greaser and then you will shout,
“I’ve hell on the inside as well as the out! “
That’s not a “right wing” site. It’s a wacko site.
“One thing at least we can count on: Texans will fight.”
That ain’t no lie!! From being Married to one for eleven years ~ I know
Stand up Dixie these Idaho winters are getting COLD...P.S Tell Al Gore we need that Global Warming stuff up North
“I remember some Southern states tried something on these lines circa 1960. Didnt work out as planned.”
Let’s see if Lincoln#2 {NObama} can hold the “Union” together by force? Sorry~ Them Blue Pinko States don’t like Guns...
“Don’t make the mistake of believing leftist loons won’t resort to violence very quickly.”
The ? is~ Would Freedom loving folk’s tell the Fed to suck an egg~If~ That said Federal Government passed some REALLY STUPID “Federal Gun Laws” or Would they be part of an invading Army?
If I treated my Wife how this Federal Government treats the States..She would be gone too
Won't argue against that. It should happen. Gotta wonder how the states were hoodwinked into ever approving it in the first place.
if you usually wear a John Deere "gi'mme cap", cutoffs & wornout boatshoes, you were born here.
otoh, if you routinely dress like Roy Rogers or Dale Evans, you were once from St Paul & live 6 months a year in an Airstream.
further, there is a radio station there that has "The Hometown News" from Minneapolis/St Paul AND a local community college teaches a course called: Learning to Sound Texan.
it's FUN town.
