And you thought adding “Dr” in front of a lawyers name was being “Shrewd as snakes”?
Not likely.
Your interpretation of that scripture has you acting as “shrewd as a dove” and “as innocent as a snake”.
Moreover Matthew 10:16 is no excuse for lying.

That would be Juris Doctor. I think it was an honest mistake. I Googled Cedric’s quote, and the first page that came up was a page entitled “Scientists Speak About Evolution.” Norman Macbeth’s name somehow found its way into a list of quotes by mostly scientists (I noticed a couple of other quotes by non-scientists as well) pointing out the many paradoxes of Darwinian evolution. I have made the mistake of assuming certain quotes were from scientists, only to find out later that they came from laymen, albeit very informed laymen. Also, Norman Macbeth wrote a book on Darwinian evolution, so perhaps he was mistaken for a scientist. Needless to say, the fact that that quote was mixed in with a page of scientific quotes was sloppy on the part of the website owner. I will email him to let him know that his webpage is getting his fellow creationists into trouble with FR’s trigger happy Evos.

Unless I’m missing something, you have not caught Cedric in a lie. Did you provide a link demonstrating that Norman Macbeth is a lawyer, or is Cedric just supposed to take your word for it?
And Cedric, don’t be bashful, I looked up NM’s quote, and that website you most likely took his quote from has him listed as a scientist in error. Just admit you made a mistake and move on. It’s the right thing to do, and if you don’t, these guys will never let you live it down.
Cedric will not provide his source for the quote so I am forced to assume that HE added the “Dr.” to Norman Macbeth’s name. Either he is utilizing dishonest and disreputable sources, or he is dishonest and disreputable himself.
Seeings as how he is attempting a scriptural justification for lying, I am pretty sure it is the latter not the former.
Either way Cedric got caught furthering a lie, and as he will not reveal his source, and attempted a Biblical justification for lies; one must conclude that truth is not of paramount importance to this poster.
Additionally I just have to laugh at the fallacy of appeal to authority with a made up authority with fake credentials tacked onto their name.
Creationists truly have no shame.
I suspect that Cedric tacked Dr. onto the name because he assumed NM is a scientist, which most people assume = Ph.D. = Dr. And I have full confidence that Cedric is going to admit his mistake and apologize. Having said that, in all the time I have been on FR, I can’t recall a single Evo (besides you, on one occasion) admitting to their mistakes. In fact, in one case, I demonstated that an Evo was factually wrong, and the Evo kept posting the same error, which had by then become a lie. Should I end this reply with “Evos truly have no shame”?
