Is there such a thing as medicinal alcohol?

My Grandfather had a "prescription" for whiskey when he was in the hospital.

He didn’t mash abuse. We spotted this one on our own - the mods keep an eye on drug war threads, there is a high probability of finding personal attacks. [emphasis mine, mkj] Knock off the personal attacks and name-calling or leave this thread.

The mods better check their eyesight then, as they missed a real whopper of a personal attack at #35.

Drug War case law is being used to "regulate" RKBA out of existence. The Nanny State "war on porn" is being used to shut down talk radio.

The only one I agree with is the one that has a non-consenting victim in the equation. Murder statutes are rightly a States issue, not a Federal one. Over turn Roe V Wade and de-fund Planned Parenthood.

How about fighting on the side of Freedom, liberty, and personal responsibility some time? Yes, even the parts of "freedom" that you personally find "icky".

I see that the "bong" post and the "llama" post are both still up.

Perhaps it would be best to yank both of them.

I have no problem with a city banning dope as long as other cities can allow it. Local governance is how this should be handled, if a community wants to allow people to smoke pot they should, those who don’t agree can move to a city that is a more restrictive community of like minded adults.

In case you don't grasp the meaning behind the comment, it is a play on the 'When did you stop beating your wife' routine. Raping llamas is clearly a continuation of that absurdity - if you think he is seriouly calling you a rapist, you need to go to Wal Mart and get a case of irony. So if you don't want that kind of retort, don't run around calling others 'dopers' with no evidence of such.

Now, knock it off and debate your position.

Baloney. Prohibition failed because Joe Kennedy, Al Capone, et al. found they could make lots of money violating it.

They made money because the possession of alcohol was still legal, and because law enforcement was banned from inspecting establishments for the sole purpose of finding alcohol.

Just kidding.

But in all seriousness.... We need another one of these threads. For Liberaltarians.

Sounds like one moderator needs a trip to Wal Mart too, for a case of objectivity.

The fact is, I made a humorous comment at #31 about the poster's 'bong', nothing more nothing less. His response was way out of proportion, and your carrying water for him by justifying what he posted doesn't wash.

We'll bump this up to JimRob's level and see what he thinks.

Too be realistic it should only get as high as the state level and most likely would. Would be a states right issue because the federal gov’t is not empowered.

This was the major reason I supported Fred Thompson. He continually referred to constitution and state rights. Constantly said we need 50 ideas to handle problems not one idea in dc. But most conservatives are like liberals and want one solution.

Go right ahead. He's in the building. I'll notify him myself.

And now ... the possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, etc. is NOT legal ... and the latter yet Jose Kennedy and Al Caponez still manage to make boatloads of money on the sale and distribution thereof.

That’s why I was a Frederalist also, too bad he slept through his “campaign”. I was really disappointed when he bowed out before I had a chance to actually vote for him in the primary.
