A record number of Americans served time in corrections systems across the country in 2007, according to a report released Monday by the Pew Center on the States.

The U.S. correctional population -- those in jail, prison, on probation or on parole -- totaled 7.3 million, or 1 in every 31 adults.

Still far too many AH’s on the street.

Double the prison population and make Soylent Green .

a) Some offenses shouldn’t be punished with jail.
b) Throw out the illegals.
c) Don’t eternally postpone capital punishments.

“a) Some offenses shouldn’t be punished with jail.
b) Throw out the illegals.
c) Don’t eternally postpone capital punishments.”

a)seems to be one of the solutions.

For b), considering that there are (only) 300,000 illegal aliens in US jails (1 third of it in California), this won’t change much the numbers. Same thing for solution c) (about 3,300 inmates waiting to be excecuted).

prisons should be slave camps where they have to produce their own keep, make them run on treadmills to produce electricity or whatever, imagine that , about 15 million kilowatt hours 24/7.

instead they are mushroom farms nurturing creeps and criminals

If they are just common run of the mill AH’s then deal with them yourself. Don’t tax some one else, so that YOU can enjoy some benefit.

My solutions.
Zero welfare state.
Bring back dueling.( side benefit, less living lawyers, academics, lefties).
Free sidearm carry as you please and liberal, old west, defense rules.

About 6 months and the lefty habituates social gamers will be dead or ‘modified’.

c) Don’t eternally postpone capital punishments.<<

That’s three difficult but correct approaches.

Too bad most of O’s administration is in jail too.

They belong in jail with the rest of the thieves.

“Bernie Madoff included?”

He’s at the Park Avenue Penitentiary.

Ditto.

If you axe the laws that have no actual Victim, other than the Perp themselves, you'd thin the herd a lot right there.

Swindlers like that in the old days used to be belly-gunned right out in front of their offices.

Darkness78 - I think you’re right-on here. People waste way too much breath complaining about stuff like illegals and death row when it’s like <5% of the problem.

My son was studying Cuba yesterday and a thought occured to me. For a large number of people the right to own property is a burden. The first group I thought of is the millions in prison. What does a criminal care about ownership of property, they are the ones that want to take other peoples property and sell it for drugs. Then I thought of the very old who can no longer work or take care of their property. Then I thought of my many diverse neighbors that refuse to work live off welfare. We have millions and millions of people in this country who would be perfectly happy in government owned property being given whatever the government would give them yet they’d always demand more.

That particular situation drives me crazy. A few of years ago someone was thrown in jail for life for stealing 20 blank vhs tapes. It was his third strike. Yet Madoff sits in luxury!!!

Yet, if one of our soldiers is late to formation he gets an article 15 and the threat of army prison...which is REAL prison.
