Michael Steele you’re an affirmative Action choice who can’t cut it. Stop embarrassing us and resign
The Collins Report ^ | March 3, 2009 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

Posted on 03/03/2009 6:05:14 AM PST by jmaroneps37

Michael Steele it’s time for you to go. You’re an affirmative action failure who never should have been elected to run the RNC and you scare me.

There is no evidence to suggest you have any grasp of your mission as RNC Chairman. With the life of our nation at stake, America has no time for you to learn. Nothing about you gives me hope or confidence we can turn our Party around.

I wanted to reserve my decision and give you the benefit of any doubt, yet frankly Mr. Steele your election as the first Black RNC Chair smelled fishy from the beginning.

After Obama’s election it seemed a bit too politically correct and looked like panicky affirmative action designed to attract people who will NEVER vote Republican anyway.

My suspicions about you proved well founded.

You just don’t get it.

Your remarks about Rush Limbaugh being an entertainer who is “incendiary” and at times “ugly” prove you don’t understand grassroots conservatism. I can’t overlook this shortcoming.

You are the de jure head of the Republican Party, but because of the vacuum your lack of leadership has produced, Rush Limbaugh IS the de facto leader of the Party.

I’m sick of a leaderless rudderless RNC giving us Bob Michel type leadership. I want a Chairman who will stand up and fight for conservatism and be able to distinguish friends from enemies.

Because of you I will revert to “Whitemailing” the RNC. I’ll send your envelops back with a note giving you a piece of my mind, but nothing else. I won’t contribute another penny to the RNC until you are gone Mr. Steele.

I speak only for myself, but I hope others will join me in this insistence that you leave office before we make any further contributions.

First. I'm no Liberal... how dare you accuse me of being part of that traitorous agenda! Just because i defend a man i belive might be able to turn the part around does not mean I'm a Liberal. Get your facts straight.

Why do I have this suspect feeling that Steele may be a undercover democrat operative? The dems must have been congratulating each other when he was elected to lead the RNC?

If they weren't then, they certainly are now.

Well, well, well. Offensive. You sound like a liberal. You know be offended if you want but Steele was an affirmative action hire. He wasn't hired because he believes in the platform of the republican party. He is anti-gun, Pro choice and just about every thing else a conservative isn't. He has proved his worth by not going after Specter et al, and by trashing Rush just to kiss ass with the demwits.

To speak of being offended is to label ones self a troll or a liberal wannabee.

RNC Mini-Me Obama. Anyone but a real conservative.

The GOP/RNC are big government/big business/big finance elitists that are, frankly, annoyed by pipsqueek conservatives who are only good for political cannon fodder and doing the dirty work of harassing their ‘colleagues across the isle’.

You are joking, right?

Are you equally “offended” at his response to the GOP being like NAZI’s or maybe his GOP “hip hop makeover” or maybe his interview with Curtis Sliwa?

LOL Apparently you don't hang around here much.

Michael Steele was not elected solely because of the color of his skin, period. Nor is Michael Steele an incapable person outside of the color of his skin. To suggest otherwise demeans him and it demeans those who voted for him because they believed in him. Many thought he was pro-life and conservative. That he now demonstrates he may likely be another RINO and has therefore betrayed conservatives is the issue.

“I think the one good thing about Obama’s presidency is that is should logically terminate all official affirmative action policies. But it won’t...”

Oh, so like the author of this piece, you agree that affirmative action is not necessary?

Could it be that he just recognized it sooner than you did?

Race relations in this country have suffered a severe setback because of these policies, IMHO

Who thought it was such a great idea to right one wrong by imposing another wrong?

Steele had a chance in the subject interview to respond to specific points about Rush’s speech, but chose to demean Rush himself and his profession; and distance himself from the message. Obviously a Conservative light and Steele lost my confidence.

That he has specifically come out against support for gay marriage and that he has apologized to Rush shows there is hope for him. Someone concerned about his image in the dino-media would have done neither.

After last night, when I said that Mike should resign... I decided to give him a second chance. I think he was wrong, but maybe he thought the question was misworded.

With the GOP I feel the best they can honestly pitch me is that, "We're the good, big government camp guards. When we put it to you, we give you a dowel to bite on and we use condoms. See? You owe us, actually"

Yeah, a world to pick out of and we get a dullard who doesn’t have command of language, thought or the political environment he’s operating in.
