Former Reagan Official: Let’s Come Together to Save Our Country’s Economy
Fox News ^ | March 3, 2009 | Marc Rotterman

Posted on 03/03/2009 7:14:18 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

President Obama and the Democrats who control Congress have a plan for the radical leftward transformation of the economy. They want to raise taxes, raise spending, and increase regulation to levels not seen since the 1970s–or the 1930s.

I propose a conference on economic policy, to be held in Washington. — The situation is urgent. Republicans have to block the multi-front Obama agenda of tax increases, more Wall Street bailouts, socialized medicine, “cap and trade” energy policies, and, yes, thousands and thousands of new earmarks.

The time has come to save our free-market system. The time has come to defend our traditional way of life against this hostile government takeover. The time has come for Republicans to raise their collective voice in opposition to these dangerous trends.

At a time when even liberal Democrats, such as Jim Cramer, are afraid that President Obama is taking America off a cliff with his left-wing agenda, it is time for Republicans to put aside feuds and factionalism and get serious about pulling together an alternative vision, a new plan of their own.

I propose a conference on economic policy, to be held in Washington. Nothing fancy, nothing overly elaborate — because the situation is urgent–Republicans have to block the multi-front Obama agenda of tax increases, more Wall Street bailouts, socialized medicine, “cap and trade” energy policies, and, yes, thousands and thousands of new earmarks.

Participants could include Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), the ranking Republican on the House Budget Committee, and a leading economic reformer. Other possible participants could include Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Tex.), a leading conservative in the House, and Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), the ranking Republican on the Senate Banking Committee, who has emerged as perhaps the most biting critic of the various bailouts.

It may even be too late for something like this. It might be tar, feathers, torches and pitchfork time.

They should do this and let the people what comes from their efforts. If it is bad, well, your comment will occur.

If it is good, then by all means try to get it enacted, not that it will be of course.

***Let’s Come Together to Save Our Country’s Economy***

Let’s do nothing to save the economy.
Except cutting spending and taxes.

Photobucket Liberals torpedoed Bush from the get-go. They wanted Obama, let them enjoy him.

Relying on the same minds to fix this as created it is the very definition of idiocy or insanity.

We are witnessing a slow-motion coup d’etat—an eradication of the principles our Republic holds dearest staged by a 21st century Comintern.

It’s hard to see how this Great Leap Forward into Maoism / Stalinism doesn’t lead to violence and Civil War.

While this administration works on important issues like destroying radio hosts, at least some people want to fix the economy.

If enough democrats wake-up to how dangerous Obama is, we might have a chance of stopping him. I wouldn't hold my breath on that happening, though.. I suspect too many of them Love their Dear Leader more than their own Lives.

Only if they are serving BBQ RINO burgers. TARP vote: Shelby - Nay, Ryan - Yea, and Hensarling - Nay That means Ryan is OUT! Who suggests such a man for a leader of American Conservatives?

Republicans are powerless to stop anything Chairman Hussein and his Congressional democrats want to do. Of course their agenda COULD be slowed in the senate, but the 3 RINOS haven’t a spine.

What we are seeing today in government is the end result of a TOTAL failure of our nation.

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Tex.), , and Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.)... all good, decent, intellegent men who love this country.

However, they just don’t get it.

Obama is only interested in destroying the USA. He hates thsi country and seeks to bring it to its knees, a time honored Stalinist technique, for the purpose of massive power agrandizement.

It will follow as the night the day. More and more, I think it’s exactly what the socialist maggots want. Their malignant narcissism and sense of destiny convince them of a sure victory, but they are seriously underestimating the American patriot and forgetting the God that watches over the republic dedicated to Him.

the republican party may be powerless, but the people are not.

rick santelli, joe the plumber, sarah palin, rush limbaugh, and all those attending tea party protests this weekend... THOSE are the real conservatives fighting to save the country... before it becomes Britian
