They should all be rejoicing!

Just think of all the trees that will be saved and the reduction in carbon emissions from the delivery trucks being parked.

While we’re all rejoicing at the demise of the liberal newspapers; I was thinking that with fewer outlets, the media will be easier for the Left to control.

I guess there might be a downside to this.

Especially if some in the media start getting Buyer’s Remorse about the Obama nightmare.

They can’t write about it if they are unemployed.

It says they were “invited” to the top of the building.....did they ALL return afterwards or did some volunteer to skip the elevator and use something more quicker.

I’m just sayin.....

How about we get someone in Congress to propose a TAX!
A TAX on NEWSPRINT!
Whereas the production of newspapers causes trees to be cut down, hauled by polluting trucks to polluting paper mills, and hauled from paper mills to publishers and
Whereas the production of newspapers requires toxic ink and solvents and energy wasting machinery and
Whereas the distribution of newspapers requires the use of dirty internal combustion engines and
Whereas a large portion of every landfill is used for discarded newspapers

Therefore:

Be it resolved that a Newsprint tax, of $1,000.00 per pound, be charged to EVERY newspaper with a daily subscription, within the United States!
________________________________________
We should get some Republican to propose THIS as an amendment to any “cap and trade” or “carbon tax” proposal that comes up!

Maybe we can make it like “Cap and Trade” and use the revenue generated, from this tax on dirty dinosaur newspapers subsidize a tax credit for home computers and digital devices?

First of all, what kind of employer tells a group of 170 competitive journalists that they're about to lose their jobs, then picks about 20 of them to stay employed in an online-only project (including, apparently, David Horsey), then throws the chosen back into the general population, and then lets that stew of jealousy and resentment simmer for a week or so?

Oh, I dunno, you stupid socialist. Perhaps an employer who cannot afford to pay 170 "competitive" journalists?

Perhaps the employer wants to make you live up to your "competitive" credentials?

Blogs and bulletin boards will cover everything that needs telling. And better than “journalists.”

Good news.

Every time a traitorous MSM outlet goes under, another angel gets it wings.
