I’m willing to let 80+ years of liberalism go unchecked by the possibility of a few potential conservative-leaning articles.

DIE, Seattle PI.

with fewer outlets, the media will be easier for the Left to control.
That's the fallacy they have promoted - that there are multiple journalisms in America. There is room for only one.

Journalism as we know it is Associated Press journalism. The AP is a monopoly. Without the newswire, newspapers used to be competitive; with it, all newspapers claim that all journalists everywhere are "objective."

I worked at the Seattle PI, in the circulation department when I was a teenager in the late 1970's. Back then, Seattle was liberal, but middle of the road. The P.I. was of the same temperament. It was not such a liberal fascist rag as it is now. Given what the P.I. has become, I take pleasure in their demise. However, after seeing pictures of the PI globe, part of me is sad to see it go.

Amid all this clatter of departure, those who were assigned to work the Sunday shift went about it with little fanfare, just doing their job, just trying to report the facts, as usual.

Yeah, if they had actually been doing that, they likely would still be doing a robust business. But it's not really about "facts", is it, PI? Good riddance.
