Ann Coulter: ARE 'HOPE' AND 'CHANGE' STILL TAX-DEDUCTIBLE? (America's "hidden poor")

ARE 'HOPE' AND 'CHANGE' STILL TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?
March 11, 2009

Are you sitting down? Obama plans to pay for his $3.6 trillion-dollar spending bill by raising taxes on "the rich." I know, I know ... I was pretty shocked, too.

The bad news is, by hiking taxes in a recession, Obama will turn a disaster into a catastrophe. But there's good news, too. The "rich" include most of Obama's biggest supporters!

While liberals love being praised for their looks, their style, their brilliance and their courage, the one quality they don't want talked about is their money. To the contrary, Democrats are constantly boasting about how poor they are -- as if that's a virtue in a capitalist society with no class barriers.

No matter how much money they have, liberals will be damned if they're giving up the poor's mantle of angry self-righteousness. This is especially true if their wealth came by inheritance, marriage or the taxpayer, the preferred sources of income for Liberalus Americanus.

Democrats' claims of poverty merely serve to show how out of touch elected Democrats are with actual incomes in America.

At the Democratic National Convention, for example, there were heartfelt tributes to the daunting self-sacrifice of both Barack and Michelle Obama for passing up lucrative jobs to work in "public service" -- which apparently is now defined, such as in Michelle Obama's case, as "working as a 'diversity coordinator' at a big city hospital for $300,000 a year."

Seriously, even with a company car, full medical benefits and six weeks' paid vacation thrown in, how do people live on that?

Meanwhile, the average salary for a lawyer with 20 years or more experience in the U.S. is a little more than $100,000. If Michelle Obama doesn't lay off all this "giving back" stuff pretty soon, she's going to find herself in Warren Buffett's tax bracket.

During the campaign, Joe Biden was also praised by the Democrats for being the poorest U.S. senator -- as if that were a major accomplishment.

Howard Dean, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, touted Biden as "a good example of a working-class kid," adding that, to this day, Biden was "one of the least wealthy members of the U.S. Senate." Only a Democrat would list "never really made anything of myself" on his resume.

On the Huffington Post, operated by a woman who acquired her wealth by marrying a rich gay guy connected to Big Oil, liberal blogger Steven Clemons gloated that, unlike John McCain, Biden wouldn't "forget the number of houses he owns," adding that, in 2006, Biden was ranked the poorest U.S. senator.

And at his high school reunion Biden was voted "most likely to try to bum a ride off of somebody." Vote Biden!

For purposes of comparison, in 2005, Barack Obama made $1.7 million -- more than twice President Bush's 2005 income of $735,180 -- but they both gave about the same amount to charity.

That same year, the heartless Halliburton employee Vice President Dick Cheney gave 77 percent of his income to charity.

According to tax returns for Biden and his public schoolteacher wife, in 2006, their total income was $248,459; in 2007, it was $319,853 -- putting the couple in the top 1 percent of all earners in the U..S.

This, my friends, is the face of poverty in America. At least in the Democratic Party.

It's located just below that row of hair plugs....

It is REALLY time for "change" when the POOREST member of our very own "House of Lords" brings in a quarter of a million a year!

And I’ll be willing to bet he finds a way to get their income back down to $249, 999

Joe Biden has never had a real job. He has been a Senator since he was 29 years old. Joe must not of had any mentors like Charlie Rangel who could teach him out to get rich with side income that he never declares. Joe was sleeping during the Democratic seminars like “Feathering Your Nest at the Taxpayer’s Expense”.

Maybe, but his son was knocking down $1.7 million a year selling access to his dad, so that may not be the whole story.

Can you imagine how much is cash " play-for-pay payoffs" and is socked away by many congresscritters in swiss mattresses?

LOL!

Also from anncoulter.com:

Wow!

I googled "Michelle Obama" "diversity coordinator", and found THIS, from the Chicago Daily Observer:

Michelle Obama’s Job Eliminated

She hasn’t shown up for work very regularly over the last year or so, so when Michelle Obama’s $300,000 job was cut at the University of Chicago Hospitals, it may have been hard to notice the difference.  Crain’s skipped the part about the incoming First Lady, must have been an oversight in their expert analysis of Chicago Business, because we know Crain’s is “Not show business. All business”.

The Tribune announced the layoff without much analysis, but let the cat far enough out of the bag to prompt our Don Rose to question how important Michelle Obama’s job must have been, as it was so easily eliminated...

Most Congressmen put in earmarks for companies that give them jobs later. Charlie and Joe are not QUALIFIED to do anything except have a “public service” job. “Getting elected” is not a job qualification that translates to the private sector.

Great line, Ann.

And, in case you missed it, here are a few choice comments from this past week -- about ANOTHER "Ann-related" news cycle:
My Beef With Ann Coulter
Daily Beast ^ | Meghan McCain
Posted on Monday, March 09, 2009 11:41:50 AM by pissant

It is no secret that being a Republican isn’t the most hip political stance a person can take right now.

President Obama has successfully established himself as the hippest politician around. You know you’re big when Katy Perry wears a dress with your face on it to host the MTV Europe Music Awards.

To my fellow Republicans: I’m sorry, I wish I could be more positive about the current “hipness” of our party. But being a Republican is about as edgy as Donny Osmond. Granted, being “hip” is not a reason to join a political party, or a reason to agree with its ideals. But it is a way to get the attention of a generation—or, more specifically, my generation.

To make matters worse, certain individuals continue to perpetuate negative stereotypes about Republicans. Especially Republican women.

Who do I feel is the biggest culprit? Ann Coulter.

I straight up don’t understand this woman or her popularity. I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time... - Meghan McCain

Where’s the beef? - Jim Robinson

Megan's beef with Ann Coulter:
"Ann's thin, hot, and immensely popular with Conservative men...and I'm not." - DTogo

-- snip --

the reason she doesn’t understand Ann is because....SHE’S A LIBERAL FOR GOD’S SAKE

She admitted that she VOTED for sKerry in 2004.

How in the hell can she have any iota of conservatism in her plump little body if she can justify in her mind a vote for that loser?? - spacejunkie2001

I always find it amazing after all this time that people don’t “get” Ann Coulter, she baits dummies with dripping sarcasm and brutal truths, speaking with the bluntness of a truck driver and the rapier wit of a great comedian.

She has never offended my tender sensibilities ONCE, everything “controversial” she says is wrapped in double-entendre’s, sarcasm, and lays bare the hypocrisies of the left.

She’s playing chess and her detractors are playing checkers.

It’s like she’s dealing with spoiled, crying children who say don’t say “it” again, she looks at them and says the word “it” and they go running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off.

If she was a liberal writer/comedian she would be celebrated as one of the greatest thinkers in the country. - word_warrior_bob

-- snip --

Ann was on FoxNews about a week ago and dissed Megan for having claimed (on her blog) that being McCain’s daughter was messing up her social life.

Ann just said (paraphrase) “Hey, Megan - have you noticed the condition of the country and the economy? We’re not interested in how your father’s loss of the election screwed up your dating...”

Megan is just responding to Ann.

On the positive side - my wife (former liberal) now enjoys Ann Coulter (whom she previously reviled) - so opinions and loyalties do change and Ann does what she does without apology, and that is as it should be. - mdk1960

Thanks bud, I was very worried about her.

She was sitting at a stop light and a drunk driver hit her going 45 mph.

It was a very stressful week.

Thanks again,
