I'm the PoC for my State on the Alarm and Muster list, I upgrade my NRA membership to Life, I'm still giving to the GOA/SAF/JPFO, I've written letters/emails/petitions that never seem to do any good, and I've voted.
What more am I expected to do? Wife, two kids, career... Only so many hours in a day.
Things break down though... That's a different story. They implement a full on firearms confiscation, if they attempt to make an entire segment of our population instant felons despite the Constitutions limits on their power, if the S truly HTF... Then the family gets squirreled away and we hit the Reset button.
You are right, of course, but there will come a time when folks are starved out enough to take to the streets. It may be the match that lights the powder keg.
I was referring to state level gun rights organizations such as VCDL in Virginia or Ohioans for Concealed Carry, or TSRA in Texas, etc.
sneer and scoff?
idiots. without people like you in CA, there’s no chance the state will get better.
that’s the reason i stay in MI.. SOMEONE has to try and fight for conservative principals in this liberal hellhole.
I was not impugning those who use the sayings per se. Rather, I was showing the emptiness of them when the person using them does not back up their convictions with other efforts.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks for the clarification.
However, I can no longer believe that your pet pols have somehow led such blameless and protected lives that they have NEVER seen or smelled a whiff of corruption, and chosen to ignore it, just to be reelected. If you babble something about, "well, you have to be willing to get your hands dirty...", to me, that is rationalizing evil.
"There is Right, and there is Wrong. You got to do one or the other. You do the one and you're living. You do the other and you may be walking around, but you're dead as a beaver hat."
And if you can't tell the difference...
Apathy is destroying the world!......But who cares?
I fight at every election, with phone, snail mail & email.
Here’s one way ordinary people can get involved. The Second Amendment March which will happen next April. I plan on going to the Washington DC one, however they are planning to have local Second Amendment Marches on state capitols and even local cities. Here’s the link:

So go ahead and do nothing.
Selfish, lazy, cowardly quitters. We’re sure seeing a lot of those on FR these days.
You betchya! Heck, that's what they did back in the day!
Someone asked me, what I thought about ignorance and apathy.
I told him, "I don't know and I don't care."
I’m doing things, but slumming with pols isn’t one of them. Stopped by and picked up some Militec 1 this afternoon... I hate having to turn the gas regulator down to 1 to assure cycling.
Good luck with that.
It is our duty still to endeavor to avoid war; but if it shall actually take place, no matter by whom brought on, we must defend ourselves. If our house be on fire, without inquiring whether it was fired from within or without, we must try to extinguish it.
