A fairly impressive internet industry has sprung up claiming that Obama was born in either Kenya or Indonesia. This is nonsense which distracts from the broadly unexplored story of Obama’s upbringing. This kind of nonsense has emerged because the McCain campaign chose not to raise the many questions about Barack Obama’s numerous hard-left alliances. Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, August 4, 1961 at Kapiolani Medical Center in Honolulu.

I will guarantee you one thing, ace. There are more of those stories written and/or posted by the same crowd that demands proof of his birth circumstances than by the lilly-livered Obama apologists in ‘conservative’ media.

I suspect the socialist was, in fact, born in Hawaii. That's based on newspaper articles from the time that I've seen scanned into the Internet. It's possible that they were faked, which is why I would prefer to see something a little more formal, but I suspect that Obama is one of America's failures rather than a foreign America-hater.

Why no birth certificate? My guess is that there is something else wrong on the long form. Perhaps he's listed as a bastard (we all know it's true today, but the documentation of that obvious fact might irritate his handlers). Perhaps he's listed with his religion as Islam. There are many possibnilities. In any case, he has a constitutional obligation to prove his eligibility, which he has not done. Sadly, those who should enforce that requirement are dodging the question and falsely claiming that no one has "standing" to check.
