WASHINGTON — The Obama administration will call for increased oversight of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and possibly other companies as part of a sweeping plan to overhaul financial regulation, government officials said.

The outlines of the plan are expected to be unveiled this week in preparation for President Obama’s first foreign summit meeting in early April.

Increasing oversight of executive pay has been under consideration for some time, but the decision was made in recent days as public fury over bonuses has spilled into the regulatory effort.

Nixon tried wage controls.

They didn’t work then and they won’t work now.

They won’t stop until they control and reduce everyone to “world workers.” Only they will enjoy high salaries and benefits - on our backs.

Taking on the people of power and influence and especially wealth is one of the dumbest things a politician can due.

I suspect there will be lots of backroom deals done to keep the gravy train rolling.

We are going to see how much power Gruppenfuehrer Soros has over the regular reds and criminal bandit industrialists.

The Barney Franks’ and Chris Dodds’ of the world don't like having attention called to their piracy and shenanigans. Even the media firewall is having trouble giving them cover, and the Obamists are loyal only to themselves.

It will be interesting to see how many mental midgets are willing to walk the streets and malls for Chairman O, rather than pop their pimples. I would say they might have no better time of it than the traditional door to doors in my neighborhood, although the training video says this is “just the first step” and that they want “a presence in every neighborhood.”

Look what these idiots voted in. I voted for McCain awful as he was, and I know he wouldn't be sending people door to door. The media would cook any Republican that tried that.

"Obama administration will call for increased OVERSIGHT of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and POSSIBLY other companies" (Emphasis Mine)

Unfortunately, too many people on the right, think this is simply an indication of laughable incompetence. And too many people on the left think this is just an example of an attempt at fairness.

The incremental change of Fabian Socialism has turned into the overwhelming change of Totalitarianism.

Not joking.

my god. Timmy the tax cheat can now seize and nationalize US corporations, if the POTUS agrees?

Too bad we don’t have conservative party in the US. If we had, it would be all over this.

You hit the nail on the head. That distinction is why many people held their noses and voted for McCain/Palin.

Line of the day!

Wall Street firms and possibly other companies

By what authority?!

Does that include union bosses too (and a so called president)?! /s

He could start by not taking a salary since he isn't doing a damn thing but campaigning.
