Omidyar worries that a pandemic could cut Hawai'i's lifelines and leave it with an 11-day supply of food (or is that 12?). To that end, he has made pivotal donations to local nonprofits dedicated to building sustainable local food supplies. At the same time, he has stockpiled several months of food for his personal use at storage facilities on O'ahu, several former employees said. (Apparently fishing, pig hunting, guava, bananas, and breadfruit are not part of his plan, but the nuttiness does not end there....check this out....)

Loose lips. There was a recent screw up by Baxter than ended up in shipping LIVE avian flu vaccine in place of the proper attenuated varieties to multiple locations. Some of the recipients died. Skeptical observers believe it was a "test" or probe to see what is "possible". Just a slip here and loose lips there...and you get a sense of what might be an intentional effort at extermination.
