Boortz misses the point.
no, you’re missing the point. He’s mocking the same ‘tie a ribbon to show I care’ mentality that Rush always talks about. “See, I did something! I mailed a tea bag. Tea party, get it? Isn’t that cute?”
I think the author misses the point, that the tea bags are really incidental to the whole solidarity thing. It’s merely a symbol of what’s really important, i.e. Americans showing that they won’t roll over and take it.
The fact that people who have never protested anything in their lives are joining this cause is is amazing to me. These are the silent majority we have always heard about. The people who are too busy working and raising families to bother complaining about the things our government does, not the normal rabble rousers. That is what Mr. Boortz is missing. It has taken a lot to bring them to even mail a tea bag, but now they are paying attention and the anger and fear is building. I think they will not take much more.
Yeah! Damn those stupid colonies who signed that circular letter condeming the Townshend Act and calling for a united American resistance. It didn’t do a damn thing to express discontent or unite the colonies against the British. Stupid letter-signing colonies! /sarc
Thank you Mr. Boortz!!!
*noticed about Boortz long ago was that there no line in the sand for him. He will continuously give up ground in order to compromise and accommodate.
I don’t think he stands on principle for anything.*
Exactly. That is one of the many things wrong with Libertarians.
After the 2006 midterms Boortz bragged on his show that when he went into the booth,
he just couldn’t pull the trigger to vote Republican.
So, he voted third party.
And he was quite proud of himself.
” I was wondering how I would feel when I woke up on November 8th to find the Republicans out of power in the House.
Now I know. I’m rather enjoying this.”
A Tea Party?
Or a Full-On Citizen's Revolt?
People, what we are facing is no less than a coup de tat of American Government. Extreme leftists have taken over our most sacred institutions: Our national political power, or media, the halls of academia.
I'm beginning to think that Eric Holder's off-the-cuff reference to Americans as a "Nation of Cowards" is closer to the truth than we'd like to admit.
We're seeing an epidemic of corruption, incompetence, power and money grabbing, thwarting of our Constitutions and laws by our "public servants" at unprecedented levels--Nationally, Locally and at State levels.
Our response? Tea parties. TEA PARTIES!
Are you friggin' kidding me???
When we see liberal anarchists take to the street to protest non-existent environmental crises, feigned outrage over our war on terror, or demands for further entitlements for the undeserving, we see windows broken, canisters of tear gas lobbed and black clouds over burning cities.
Isn't it time to take the gloves off and let the Marxists who have bought their way into the seat of government that we are SERIOUS about preserving the liberties our forefathers fought and died for?
How far are we willing to let this administration take control of how we can conduct our capitalist system the way our fathers did?
WHEN ARE WE GOING TO PUT SOME TEETH INTO OUR PROTESTS?
Because you can bet they're LAUGHING THEIR ASSES OFF at what we're doing right now.
Some ordinarily innocuous things would have a very dramatic effect if done on a sufficient scale.
For example, 50 million letters each containing a tea bag mailed on the same day would wreak havoc with the mail system in DC. They wouldn’t have to get to the White House.
Remember how congressional office’s business activities ground to a halt with the deluge of faxes, emails and phone calls during Amnesty Act 1?
The royalty in DC gets quite perturbed when their routine is disrupted by the great unwashed (uh, that’d be us).
Remember what Jim Morrison said? “They got the guns, but we got the numbers.” It can work if executed properly.
Got a lib friend that claims you’re paranoid about governmental retaliation for your dissent? Send a letter to the WH accusing BO of being a non citizen, and put your lib friend’s name on it. When the SS visits him, or the IRS harasses him, tell him he is just being paranoid, the Messiah wouldn’t do that.
At the very least it shows this disgusting, fawning media that there are lots of people who are pissed off. They can't ignore it forever.
Tea parties are being Ignored by the MSM.
Tea bags are being ignored thanks to Anthrax.
I think someone is beginning to notice Gun/Ammo sales....and the Tea parties are getting Bigger and BIGGER.... and They are easy to relocate.
Coming soon to a Media office near you. AIG BONUS REPO victims welcome.
Neal Boortz yodels from a hilltop, down into an empty valley.
We have to do this for those who still don't get it, as well as a "warning" to the elites who think we're too stupid to run our own lives.
I don’t know, I ALWAYS practice defensive driving when I notice a ‘Caution, Baby on Board’ window sign.
When the leftist movement began to gain momentum, they staged sit-ins and burned draft cards.
If regular folks want to express thier DISSENT and disgust with current policies, and want to do it by sending in a teabag to express their point, they have every right to do that.
So these libtards should just STFU if they don’t get it.
Actually our response is not tea parties, which is conviviality and socializing around a warm fragrant beverage, but “tea parties” which is a reference to a deliberately ironic name given to an historic act involving far more destruction of property and violence than is found among the pinky extending, cookie dunking set. The reference is a threat of sorts that will go right over the intended targets heads since they WILL be laughing their asses off at us. But that is not because there is actually anything funny, rather it is because they are evil and stupid and, so, only know how to blackguard and mock. Such people will get the smirks knocked off of their faces because they are who they are. I got no problem with the “Tea Parties” because I believe they, like the original, are headed somewhere.
