All that you say it true.

I can't cite it for you, but if you look at the -1bama / Holder gun ban list, there's a clause that includes, to paraphrase, anything that's ever been procured for military use.

Thus, the M1 carbine, M1 rifle, Colt 1911, Smith model 1917, 1903, etc, etc, are all at the discretion of the AG.

As much as I've criticized the NRA, and rightfully so at times, NOW IS THE TIME to encourage your gun-owning friends to step up and take them up on the free membership offering. If we lose now, we lose everything.

What free [NRA] membership offering? How exactly does that work? If I send 'em to NRA's web page, they'll just get miffed since I see no open mention of anything like "free" membership. Besides, what benefit other than being counted as a member could a free membership include? They surely couldn't offer to send a monthly copy of The American Rifleman, and a NRA hat.
