I am so excited about this tea party on April 15, 2009 at the Federal Building (125 S. State St.) from noon to 2pm. We have covered all of the media bases and are expecting a good turnout. I am also pleased to announce that Glenn Beck's producer has said he will show our tea party on his show. Another interesting note is that his producer told me that she is going to have me on The Glenn Beck Program on Fox News at the end of the week. I will let everyone know the details as I receive them. I have instructed those who have asked about signs to make their own and choose what they feel most passionate about. As an obvious sidenote, stay away from anything vulgar. We want this to be a good experience for everyone to get their passions out with our feelings toward the government and its actions. We will also be making a few different videos of the event which we will either sell some or put some on Youtube. We have our speaker list as well, so here it is:

Welcome and Conducting: Myself Activist and Author Candace Salima Attorney General Mark Shurtleff Congressman Jason Chaffetz (3rd District)Congressman Rob Bishop (1st District)

Adam Gardiner Organizer Salt Lake Tea Party

Please note, I am not the one organizing this, just passing on the message. If you would like to contact the organizer, let me know, and I can provide you with contact info. Also, if you would like fliers to pass out to family and friends, let me know, and I will send them to you. Hope to see you there!

It’s time to let our government know….. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! If you are fed up with the current economic crisis, and feel like the current path our government is taking is the wrong one…… Then come and join us for the Salt Lake City Tea Party on April 15 Meet us at noon at 125 South State Street In Salt Lake City, Utah Let’s send a message that we want Smaller Government * Lower Taxes * Preserve Freedom A True Capitalist Market * Not Socialism

I made the last one. I’ll most likely be at this one.

I’m pleased to see this movement develop. I’m also disappointed that the Salt Lake City tea party was scheduled for noon on a Wednesday. I’m a teacher - I can’t get off work! Isn’t there anyway to schedule these events when all of us can join? Or even extend it a couple of hours so I can race down once the kids are gone!!!
Thanks - a very concerned citizen.

There is apparently a different tea party in the evening of April 15. I don't have a lot of details. It's from 5-7 pm at the Post Office at 1795 West 2100 South in Salt Lake City.

See comment #33 here and follow the link. There's not a lot of info available, but if you're looking to get involved, there's an opportunity.

SLC? I guess it’s a good thing it’s not a COFFEE party.
