AMERICA'S First Lady has cosied up to the Queen as Prince Philip once again put his foot in his mouth when the Obamas visited Buckingham Palace.
Barack and Michelle Obama met with the Queen her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, ahead of a reception for other G20 leaders and international organisations.
Prince Philip latest gaffe came after Mr Obama said: I had breakfast with the Prime Minister, meetings with the Chinese, the Russians, David Cameron...
Prince Philip replied: Can you tell the difference between them?"
The Independent said Philip had "displayed his uncanny knack for leaving his mark on a state occasion".
While the Daily Express remarked: "It was, given his record for talking about Chinese slitty eyes, dud Indian factory products, Scottish alcoholics and Hungarian pot-bellies, not the wisest thing to say."
And in an incident almost identical to the one involving former Australian prime minister Paul Keating in 1992, Michelle Obama briefly put her hand on the back of Queen Elizabeth II as the two chatted at a Buckingham Palace reception.
Mrs Obama put her hand on the Monarch only after the Queen had placed her own hand on the First Lady's back as part of their conversation.

They are beginning to look very amateur indeed.
The Queen will not be personally offended by this, because she will understand how budensome it is to always do precisely what protocol demands in public and she's long taken the view that if no offence is intended, none should be taken. But you don't want to be relying on good will in these situations, it makes it look like you're not up to the role.
Can you tell the difference between them?”
Seems like a valid question to me.
Considering the fact that Obama didn't have his Teleprompter with him, I doubt if he could!

The Duke of Edinburgh does have something of a history of making silly comments - but this one may well have been serious. He’s a World War II veteran, a Field Marshal and Admiral of the Fleet, with a lifetime looking at the Cold War from a fairly perspective. He had to give up a normal military career to serve as the Queen’s Consort, but he is a military man and a military thinker and he despises communism, and probably sees both Russia and China as potential enemies and threats to his country.
It sure is where Obama is concerned. Sounds to me like Prince Philip has good insight into our idiot POTUS.
THey are all communists.
Is Prince Phillip Dianes kid?
Isnt he the same one that said to a black guy Gee you dont sound like a black guy?
I was thinking he was stationed in the Military somewhere if it is who I think it is.
What he said to Obama is IMO not a gaffe.
I was thinking earlier today good thing the Prince with mouth/foot was not there.
Me too. I think Prince Phillip just called BO out.
In other words....Obama you are an idiot. I like it, much too truthful and the media loathes truth when it come to the magic negro.
No, Prince Philip is the Queen’s husband - His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh to be precise.
Diana’s sons (the sons of the Prince and Princess of Wales) are TRH Prince William of Wales, and Prince Harry of Wales. Both are currently commissioned officers in the British Armed Forces.
what a lard ass...
mmm ... no, not really. Being Queen Elizabeth’s husband, Prince Phillip would be Diana’s sons’ grandfather.
Thanks for the clarification.
I didnt relize the Queen had a living husband.
Is he her original husband?
He is the one and only ...
Goodnight! I can not believe what I am seeing! Putting your arm around the Queen?! I thought they were Harvard grads?
I too wondered where the protocol officer was, when I heard the dolts gave the Queen an IPOD, for goodness sake! As if she would not buy herself one, if she wanted one! How very undignified and silly. She is an 80 year old woman. Why not give her a nice painting or sculpture?
I LOVE Prince Phillip’s question! Perfect! He does know how to put one in their place, doesn’t he!
Prince Phillip is the Queen’s husband.
And you are right, it was not a “gaffe”.
