It is hard for younger generations to understand how violated and abused veterans felt, and still feel today. It took the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth to remind everyone that many of us have not forgotten, nor will we.

yes but this wh administrator was dancing around the fact she thinks they can regulate via the supreme court rulling that ordered them to regulate carbon emmissions.

Thus the house vote is irrelivant, they can administrativly acomplish the same task by using the courts as a super legislator.

The one that struck me most was of her at the Queen mum’s funeral, I understand that it is rare even in quite high society in America to wear a hat but she wore one at this funeral as all heads of state wife and the royal family would be expected to she understood and listened to what was correct protocol.

Thank you for posting Pres. Bush's honor of this awesome hero, snugs, and Morgan, for reminding us of the enduring heroism of the American military. Where would we be without these brave men and women ?

For those who wish to remember what the White House website used to look like, there is the archived website from Pres. Bush's term. It's frozen in time, but still refreshing to revisit, especially for those of us on this Forum who would give anything to have him still at the helm, guiding our wounded ship of state.

Shock Forced Paulson's Hand

*snip*

"The Fed, meanwhile, was supposed to be a lender of last resort to banks. It wasn't built to fix all these problems, and the snowballing crisis worried Fed officials.

"This financial episode is one where a huge part of the problem is outside of the banking system," said Frederic Mishkin, a Columbia University professor who recently left the Federal Reserve as a governor. "We're in a whole new ball game."

On Thursday, Messrs. Paulson and Bernanke decided to ask Congress for authority to buy up hundreds of billions of dollars of assets. In the afternoon, Mr. Paulson, Mr. Bernanke and Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox briefed President Bush for 45 minutes.

Mr. Paulson told Mr. Bush that markets were frozen and many different types of assets had become illiquid, or untradeable. Messrs. Paulson and Bernanke told the president that the situation was "extraordinarily serious," according to a senior administration official.

"We need to do what it takes to solve this problem," Mr. Bush replied.

That evening, during the meeting with Congressional leaders, Mr. Bernanke gave a "chilling" description of current conditions, according to one person present. He described the frozen credit markets, busted commercial-paper markets and attacks on investment banks. The financial condition of some major institutions was "uncertain," he said."

This is a MUST READ article, giving an historical timeline of events that led up to today's mess. I urge you all to read the whole thing. Makes you wonder about the possibility that motivated monied wizards/entities behind the curtain were manipulating the catastrophic fall of the dominoes. Not saying that happened, only that it could be a possibility. I'm still mind boggled at the speed and depth of the devastation, coincidentally just mere weeks before the election. God help us.

I fear you are right, if you look at the photos and quotes we put on the dose over the last 8 years how many of those actually made it to the evening news very few I fear.

Scary analysis but hard to argue with.

That's just it. It's not a matter of arguing with it - nobody's even paying attention.

I SO agree, and he writes with resentment about his supposedly UK-citizen father resentment and his struggle with the Brits. Ironic isn’t it, that he nearly genuflected and did deeply bow to the Saudi King, and gave a faint gesture of head lowering to the woman whom I’m just speculating might have possibly been his Queen.

As usual Star the truth is buried under a huge pile of lies and half truths repeated ad nauseum by the DBM. Thanks to you and others it rears its head from time to time.

The biased left-wing media is the greatest enemy to our country. Worse than terrorists or activist leftist judges, I think. Because they keep the masses ignorant of the truth.

Exactly correct, and what I've been saying for many, many years.

The dems will be dems, all they want to do is get re-elected in order to stay in power and continue to use the power of government to enrich themselves and their friends/supporters.

The press are and continue to be their enablers and commit fraud on the rest of us every time they open their mouths/print thier screeds.

They are a LEFT Wing movement. The end justifies the means of what they "report" on or fail to report on.

We do well on this thread to distinctly point out their bias each and every Sunday.

Larry is often on Fox and Friends during the week doing a very detailed series of reports on Left-wing bias in education.

He is a delight; photgenic, funny, and above all on the money. You can tell by watching just how much this bias pi$$es off Steve Ducey. Steve then publishes the name, address, and phone numbers of these publishing firms that print this drivel. Last week they actually tried to interview one pulisher walking to his office in Manhatten!

Thank you.

I have yet to find anyone under the age of 40 who doesn't confuse or conflate Vietnam with War-II, let alone Korea. Hell, I cain't hardly find anyone who can find it on a map.

To paraphrase another of my generation, if our current K through 12 education system were forced on us by an outside country, it would be considered an act of war.

Probably, by the French.

Sigh...

One example of the comparison. WWII ended a few years before I was born and I remember the Korean war although I was a bit young to remember any specifics. Still, looking back at both they seem a hundred years ago. Neither impacted my professors in college but maybe that was because the Vietnam war was starting up. Still, time makes it harder for young people to remember it well. That’s why I try to remind everyone, myself included, of our history.

” Why should we expect them to find out who launched the biggest financial attack in our histoir when their last real WH scandal was who outed a CIA file shuffler? Course the days of real journalists have been replaced w/a corrupt DNC press corpse that refuses to rise from their coffins.

Thanks for a very insightful post on this topic. This is the real smoking gun .

Do you have any other references where I can read more about this ?

I watched geraldo last night and it was disgusting. I watched in stunned awe at his slobbering over mrs bo.

I'm glad someone else saw that. I wanted to vomit. Earlier in the day, I was flipping channels a few times, and saw Wolf and later some other guy, on Commie News, drooling and salivating and asking leading questions about the BOs big trip. Wolf had some British lady on who was praising EVERYTHING the Marxists did in England, and she was sneering at "tchotchkes" (sp?) that others have given the Queen (i.e. the IPod from Mrs. Marxist is a perfect gift while others have fallen short).

I don't know where they dig these people up or how much they pay them to tell us everything about the Marxists is perfect. And didn't Geraldo say something about the "perfect specimen of a woman" about BO's wife???? Someone said that yesterday ---- I about died.
