Houston will show love to testy senator [McCain resurrecting amnesty] [Cornyn involved?]
The Houston Chronicle ^ | 2009-04-11 | Rick Casey

Thursday morning the New York Times ran a front-page story announcing that the Obama administration would begin working on comprehensive immigration reform this year.

By Thursday afternoon hundreds of Houston business leaders received e-mails urging them to join the effort — by bringing their checkbooks to a May 4 fundraiser here for Sen. John McCain.

The pitch ought to work. The Houston business establishment, led by the Greater Houston Partnership, is firmly on record for comprehensive immigration reform. The Houston economy is heavily dependent on immigrant labor, legal and illegal.

“My first mission is to raise enough money early to keep challengers out of (McCain’s) race,” LeVecke wrote in his e-mail. “Assuming we meet that goal, I’d prefer to give him the freedom to spend the campaign helping other ‘pro-reform’ Republican candidates and influencing those that are on the fence.

LeVecke also mentioned that McCain and he had “spoken about working with Senator (John) Cornyn to take leadership with regard to immigration reform.

Houston businessmen love illegals. They are non-discriminating exploiters of workers from around the world. In much of Houston, English is not spoken.

That crime has gone up drastically since it became a “sanctuary city” doesn’t bother them at all because they live in gated enclaves that middle class residents can’t afford.

The entire country has a problem because there are too many “mccains” in congress. One named Kay Bailey comes to mind. Cornyn talks a good game. They all voted for the first bail out. Now they’ll sit by and watch Obama set the tax payers up to pay GM’s pensions.

I hope you’re not saying ALL should be able to live in gated enclaves. That sounds kinda’ socialists.

But, you’re correct about Houston. Sheila Jackson Lee gets elected from Houston. The outskirts are conservative. Houston is a blue doe surrounded by red. Like most big cities. And they all have Mexican workers. Rogers, Arkansas’ chicken “factories” depend on the Mexican labor.

Someone needs to tell Juan to sit down and shut the hell up. He had his shot and he blew it. He threw his chance to win the WH away by his moronic grand standing during the first bailout bill so sit down and shut up already!

Get ready for Obama to sell us out to the illegals with the full cooperation of the GOP. This makes me sick.

Don't dare ask McCain about illegals.

I took up for Senator Cornyn on another thread, I hope he doesn’t disappoint Texas.

I called and spoke with the 'phone monkey' at Senator Cornyn's Washington office.

Asked her if the senator now supports Amnesty for illegal immigrants.

The young lady said they would probably have a statement out this week, whatever that means.

Had we not had a poor choice of juan mclame and the magic negro, would anyone ever have voted for mclame?
I know I wouldn’t give him the time of day.

Their version of “immigration reform” would be like having “criminal reform” where the thieves get to keep everything they stole. To them, “reform” really means “reset”.

Yes, and let me tell you, Houston is relatively conservative for a major big city. Of course, I moved here from Detroit two years ago so anything is a step up from that. Houston may not be as conservative as it once was, but there's still a lot to fight for. God bless Texas! I'd hate to see this place go the way of other places.

Houston is a cesspool. It’s the Texas version of L.A. for all the same reasons.

That doesn't make any sense at all. As soon as all of those illegal aliens have been made citizens they will cost as much as any other citizen to hire. All the wage requirements, tax requirements, insurance requirements, days off requirements and union organization requirements will then apply to them.

All those businesses will have to rehire fresh illegals and the former illegals will then be forced to compete with the rest of us citizens on the same level. Most will have to go on welfare.

>>I took up for Senator Cornyn on another thread, I hope he doesn’t disappoint Texas.<<

He will. Cornyn has become one of the boy’z up in Washington.

These globalist pukes WILL get their way eventually. They won't stop.

I found it interesting that several years ago, the media reported up to twenty million illegals in the U.S.

Then when McCain / Bush attempted to ram through amnesty...the media began reporting, “up to twelve million illegals.”

Read a government report the other day....GOA or GOB something like that was reporting up to thirty million illegals.

If amnesty is indeed passed for that many Mexican nationals....game over!

This will change the voting demographics forever.

I could see why democrats would vote for amnesty.....never figured out why republicans wanted amnesty.

Could it be that the two parties both have a global agenda????
