Don't let the Marxist mainstream media or the handful of naysayers on FR or elsewhere tell you otherwise. The Tax Day TEA Party/Tax Revolt protest yesterday was a HUGE success!! Hundreds of thousands of fed-up protesters turned out in hundreds of cities across our nation!!

And we're not done yet. I see there are already grassroots plans being laid for another protest on July 4th. If we can get hundreds of thousands to turn out on a workday, a cold and rainy workday at that in some cities, then hopefully we can turn out even more on a July 4th Saturday event!

We had a national Boston Tea Party yesterday, now let the July 4th protest be our Independence Day!!

Tyrants ignore the wrath of people at their own peril. There will be a turnover in congress next year, I double dog guarantee it!!

Protest these high spending/high taxing, usurping tyrants every chance you get. Write letters. Call, FAX. Visit their offices. Tell them in no uncertain terms that you are fed up and you're not going to take it any longer!! Convert your anger to votes and Vote the bastards out!!

Congratulations grassroots protesters!! Great job!!

I love it!! This article yesterday made me realize what we all have done with the tea party organizing online. WE used obama’s organizing and we did it. We alerted people what was going on. They responded. All walks of life and all parties. Woooo Hooo!! We can take back our country if we continue. Thanks obama for the training.

A big thanks to you Jim for all your hard work and giving us a a outlet to place all the information that otherwise no one would ever know about.

"I just checked. CNN is a bunch of cry baby, un-American, losers."

That's what I thought. How pathetic of them to call themselves a news source.

Very good idea!

I have posted the Wichita Tea Party stuff here, both times.

In the future, I think I will make up a flyer with the FR website address on it, and tell people to check for their pics there.

The local Americans For Prosperity is very involved, and that is great, but we need the national network that FR provides, so that we can encourage each other.

These are grassroots events. I’m not THE organizer. Not even AN organizer. I’m more of a cheerleader. A promoter, maybe, but mostly a participant. My own personal goals may not match the goals of the grassroots organizers, but they would include getting as many people involved as possible. Turnout is important. Not just to get media attention, but to rouse the voting populace. I’m praying enough people are angry enough with our out of control congress that they will turn out on election day next year and vote the bastards out!

Call ‘em out?

All of them. Publicly name names on both sides of the aisle who fall in step with the government “mark-to-market” tax scheme?

Just a suggestion.

I did my small part and attended the nearest rally I could find. I have never done anything like that before, but would go again in a heartbeat.

I am tired of the insults from the DHS report, the CNN bimbo in Chicago and the trash talking journalists and their insulting teabagging childishness. It’s time we took back our country!

I look forward to the midterm elections!

I was at the Alamo yesterday and I already signed up for the San Antonio Tea Party mailing list this morning. Someone posted a How to Find Your Local Tea Party link on here earlier today with a clickable U.S. map.

As a side note, we could probably put an end to some of the negative media coverage if we requested that no Obama name-calling signs (such as fascist, communist, etc.) be displayed, only ones pertaining to the issues that the Tea Party is intended to address such as liberty, freedom, debt, mismanagement, etc. I think it would make it seem more non-partisan and professional. Just a suggestion...

...like we really give a rat's patootie what they think ; )

Actually the San Antonio Tea Party did request no negative signage - and really by and large there wasn’t a LOT of the REAL nasty signs - though there were some ...

I do understand that mentality - but then I started thinking... we have to practice what we preach and and let’s face it we ARE going to have some that are so outraged they’re letting it out.

(I was in no way connected w/the SAT Tea Party organizers - just there holding my Term Limits sign ;-) )

I had never been to a protest before in my life, but yesterday I went to three. I went with trepidation, not knowing what to expect. All I took was a camera. The Dallas one was quite big. A high point was when the MC said "how 'bout those Dallas Police", and everyone cheered! The police did ask for sticks to be removed from signs (with flags being exempt). I presume for safety purposes. I got a kick out of this fellow's flag construction. Looks to me to be a 1-1/2 inch hardwood dowel. Big feller too!

Then there was this guy. He violated all the rules of "easy to read" and "catchy" sign construction, but man he put his heart into it...

But this remains my favorite shot. Department of Homeland Security look out!

In summary, I had a great time and loved being around these people. I never saw two signs that were the same. This is the essence of a grassroots movement. I hope to tell my grandkids I was there for the first nationwide demonstration against oppressive government in my lifetime...the Tea Party of April 15th, 2009.

God Bless you all.

As I said on another thread, the best thing was just being there physically and seeing and knowing other people who think like you. I believe it’s called ‘bonding’.

We had about 2500 of us bonding (news story estimate). All very respectful patriotic Americans. It was great. (And very little trash left afterwards, I hear)
