Man sentenced for sexual abuse of daughter April 17, 2009
The emergency call came in as a domestic violence assault: A man had stabbed his girlfriend in the parking lot of a Las Vegas hospital.
But as detectives began to investigate, they unearthed a terrible family secret. The suspect was not the victim’s boyfriend but her father, who had been sexually assaulting her for nearly two decades and had fathered her three children.
The assaults, the victim told authorities, started when she was 6 years old and living in Los Angeles. She said her father, a martial arts instructor, threatened to kill her if she told anyone and kept her a prisoner at home, monitoring her movements using surveillance cameras and delivering fierce beatings during paranoid rages.
Today, the daughter, now 29, sat silently in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom as a judge sentenced Lindolfo Thibes to prison for 109 years to life in what police describe as the most heinous case of child abuse they have encountered.
As her father was led away in handcuffs, the woman wept quietly and embraced her younger brother, also the victim of years of beatings at the hands of their father. “I hope he suffers,” said the woman, who asked that her name not be published because she is a sexual abuse victim. “I want him to die in there in jail because that’s what he did to me. He confined me.”
Thibes, a burly man with a shaved head and scraggly gray goatee, said nothing about his guilt or innocence during today's hearing but offered a litany of rambling complaints to the judge, all the while referring to himself in the third person.

I hope that the inmates at whatever prison this piece of trash ends up in give him the welcome he deserves.

As does mine, but it breaks more for those 3 children. Just imagine growing up and then finding out that the person who was your father is also your grandfather and he had raped your mother.
Too bad he's a martial arts instructor., he just might be able to fend for himself. I think he ought to ride the lightning.
It would be awful but being raped by your own father seems to me worse than just knowing that it happened to someone else, even it it was your mother. Remember that it started when she was only six years old. She never got to be a child.
I remember years ago when I heard the figures for how much money child porn made and I just could not imagine that enough people would be that warped that a business like that could literally be a billions-of-dollars a year business.
And then it really scared me to think that these people are often, as Ann Rule once titled her book about Ted Bundy, “the stranger beside me” and that we do not know people at all, at all. We think we do, but we don’t.
Oh, I do pray that many Bubbas make this man’s life miserable for YEARS, and beat him every day for the rest of his life.
Absent a death sentence, I can live with that.
I went to his daughter’s website. What a beautiful and strong spirit that girl has and what a monster she got for a father.
As the Bible says, only God knows the depths of man’s depravity.
I'm all against illegals, but a special exception on compassionate grounds needs to be made here.
Instead of life in prison, the person should surrender his organs to those who would benefit. Once the heart lungs, kidneys, eyes and teeth have been harvested the person would be set free!
