Man sentenced for sexual abuse of daughter April 17, 2009
The emergency call came in as a domestic violence assault: A man had stabbed his girlfriend in the parking lot of a Las Vegas hospital.
But as detectives began to investigate, they unearthed a terrible family secret. The suspect was not the victim’s boyfriend but her father, who had been sexually assaulting her for nearly two decades and had fathered her three children.
The assaults, the victim told authorities, started when she was 6 years old and living in Los Angeles. She said her father, a martial arts instructor, threatened to kill her if she told anyone and kept her a prisoner at home, monitoring her movements using surveillance cameras and delivering fierce beatings during paranoid rages.
Today, the daughter, now 29, sat silently in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom as a judge sentenced Lindolfo Thibes to prison for 109 years to life in what police describe as the most heinous case of child abuse they have encountered.
As her father was led away in handcuffs, the woman wept quietly and embraced her younger brother, also the victim of years of beatings at the hands of their father. “I hope he suffers,” said the woman, who asked that her name not be published because she is a sexual abuse victim. “I want him to die in there in jail because that’s what he did to me. He confined me.”
Thibes, a burly man with a shaved head and scraggly gray goatee, said nothing about his guilt or innocence during today's hearing but offered a litany of rambling complaints to the judge, all the while referring to himself in the third person.

Apparently he is an illegal from Brazil. Poor woman. The case in Austria was even worse but this was almost as horrific. Taxpayers have been and will be paying for this disaster.
I agree but a few big ol’ bubba’s pouncing on him at once might just take the wind out of those martial arts sails.

I know you meant well and it's a wonderful suggestion, BUT
Would you want the organs of an evil man to be in your body? We do not know if there would be a transference of characteristics...
Yet, the person who does need new organs may reject that man's organs even though they may be medically compatible.

Sick piece of crap deserve the worst he gets. But why did the paper have to say he had a “scraggly” beard? It isn’t “scraggly” but is full and well-trimmed.
Did the L.A. Times think that if it said “scraggly” people would hate him more?
She really is a strong person. Like I said before it is hard to believe how many fathers, uncles, etc, commit rape/incest on their family members.
Not only is it hard to believe, it is completely hard to even fathom. It’s just gross and perverse in so many ways. Like there aren’t enough females elsewhere???
Of course, when one considers that men rape infants and toddlers, there is just no way for our normal minds to even try and comprehend and, frankly, I hope I NEVER get it.
hmmm....I doubt it has anything to do with availability of females.
And when you’re talking about bizarre abnormal perverse behavior - well, in that kind of individual’s mind, the more bizarre the better.
So - he gets to have total control, he enjoys being perverse.
In the old days they used to call this “evil”.
That’s the point I was trying to make as well - there is NO lack of females so obviously it IS something else.
It still is called evil by those of us who haven’t caved into the PC and humanist belief system.
