Appearing on "Meet the Press" on Sunday, Lawrence H. Summers, President Obama's chief economic adviser, stated, "Whether it's tonsillectomies or hysterectomies ... procedures are done three times as frequently [in some parts of the country than others] and there's no benefit in terms of the health of the population. And by doing the right kind of cost-effectiveness, by making the right kinds of investments and protection, some experts ... estimate that we could take as much as $700 billion a year out of our health care system."

Let's be clear - Mr. Summers is talking about rationing. . . .

Routine Mammography will be the first to go. I have seen several articles in US media and magazines recently stating that they are not necessary. Some even cited the UK policy against routine mammography without even saying that the UK cancer survival rate is 20% lower than in the US.

I would love to see them talk instead about the expense of AIDS/HIV, an absolutely preventable disease. As you can imagine that will never happen.

If you compare the spending on AIDS/HIV to breast cancer, a wholly unpreventable disease, you would be amazed. Women are going to get screwed.

exactly. AIDS/HIV funding is exponentially higher than all else. And it is PREVENTABLE. Not in the squishy way of heart disease and stroke, but in the absolute sense.

From the DNC's War on American Women and Children:
Chauvinist-in-Chief Summers: "Whether it's tonsillectomies or hysterectomies ...

This is the DNC and AARP's war on women, the elderly,
and children. Men in Congress or privileged like Summers,
will NEVER get any rationing.

That my FRiend, is what the idiots that voted for Democrats and obama desire. That it will causetheir deaths and prolong their suffering instead of trying to cure them is beside the point. From their point of view, the point is that it wll be “free”.

It will not tale long for the social security and medicare problem to be solved.
