White House: No independent interrogations probe

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House on Thursday said it did not support creation of an independent panel to investigate the Bush administration's harsh interrogations of terror suspects.

"Something like this would likely just become a political back-and-forth," presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters. "We're all best suited looking forward."

Leahy and Conyers are going to have their show trials. I feel pretty confident in that. Hopefully the Bush administration officials that are to be prosecuted will bus in a few thousand folks from L.A. that migth not otherwise be here today if they followed the appeasement tactics of the left.

Bingo. I think that's exactly what this is. They don't want anyone to watch the Congressional sausage-making over "health care reform."

We start with Robert McNamara and work our way up taking in Kennedy and Leahy regarding how they voted on funds for South Vietnam and Cambodia (withdrawal of funding led to genocide in both cases, and genocide is a crime against humanity, and we can execute people for it, so it would be really juicy to have those two on trial).
