The State of California hired this guy despite his bad record. Get this... he had a dishonorable discharge (which right off should prevent government employment) and he had a felony record for burglary and sexual assault and not doing well on parole. Now what possible reason would the State have for hiring such a person, surely not affirmative action? Now it turns out he is LA worst serial killer....just unbelievable! At one point a hospital actually hired this thief and sexual predator to be a...patient counselor??? M'gawd...things like this make believe the inmates are surely running the asylum!

Sadly, what happens in California does NOT stay in California.
The idiocy makes it’s way across the country.

No kidding. Ever hear of President Obama?
He's as qualified to be a patient counselor as Obama is to be President. Both are a threat to those they serve.
I can see your point but that's not always the case. My ex-wife had a dishonorable discharge from the military. That was also ten years ago, when she was much younger and immature. She has grown up to quite responsible and very mature and one hell of a mother. It's just too bad we couldn't work our differences. Anyway, just because she made a mistake in the past doesn't mean she should never be given another chance.
Now if she made that mistake and then spent the last ten years compounding on that mistake then that's different. Don't be so quick to judge someone.
By the way, she is now a government employee and all her bosses absolutely love her and her work ethic.
Guys like this are the reason Obama’s Grandmother would cross to the other side of the street
You reap what you sow, California. Political Correctness gives a lot of cover to minority serial killers and violent criminals via the government and the media.
The remedy in not complicated: find out who hired him and then fire that person(s).
"Hi. I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."
Yes, but presumably other applicants were passed over in hiring her, who had honorable service? Gov. jobs are competitive! I’m sure everything is as you say, but if she got hired over me had I applied, I’d be torqued. It would matter the nature of the discharge and the 214, but those are tough to get...
This was the policy of all level of governments in the 70’s and early 80’s. They called it rehabilitation for the criminals and that is all that mattered - not the long and bloody line of their vicitms.
