"The students of this coalition would like to extend an invitation to all those interested in joining us on campus on May 17th as we respectfully give witness to Notre Dame's Catholic identity and pro-life principles," the group added.

My guess is that Jenkins will do everything in his power to prevent this.

Why hasn’t this “Father” Jenkins been 1) fired, and 2) excommunicated? Why is he still employed at the college? I don’t understand it! What the hell is stopping the church from canning his ass and getting him the hell off the campus? Why is this still an issue?

It strikes me that if Obama had any decency, he would simply quietly decline the invitation.

All he can do is use his persuasion to reduce the number of those who attend the protest instead of the commencement. The article says the protesters have permission to conduct their activity.

And he can easily revoke the permission and use something like “security concerns” as an excuse.

YES, WE CAN
STOP OBAMA
at
NOTRE DAME
Ping List

This is an AD-HOC action list to (selectively) report and urge specific actions to stop Obama and win the Battle of Notre Dame. This is not just for Catholics. It's for anybody who wants to "put down the mighty from their thrones" (baby-killers in high places) and to "lift up the humble" (tiny infants and their valiant defenders).

*****
Unless told otherwise, I will cheerfully keep you on my list.

If you want me to delete your name, I will just as cheerfully remove you if you will send me a "Private Message".

I'm asking for "Private Message" for deletions only, to ensure that I see your request.

How the action is shaping up

As you can see, some of the graduating students favor holding a prayer vigil concurrent with the graduation and boycotting their own commencement; others have plans to attend the commencement and protest there.

Meanwhile, a number of pro-life organizations are inviting EVERYBODY --- ALL PRO-LIFE PEOPLE, non-Catholics and Catholics alike --- to come to South Bend and join the protest.

The Pro-Life Action League (Illinois) and the Citizens for a Pro-Life Society (Michigan), have joined forces to organize buses and coordinate protest action: their joint website is at NotreDameProtest.com.

Working with them is Randall Terry, at StopObamaNotreDame.com, who has opened an office in South Bend, recruited full-time volunteers, and was just arrested at Notre Dame for walking onto the property.

Much of the press coverage--- local, national and international --- can be found HERE.

HERE'S WHAT WE CAN DO NOW

As most of us know, Bishop John D'Arcy, the bishop of Ft. Wayne-South Bend, has already protested the Obama honors by announcing that he will boycott the commencement. At this point, the most important action item is to encourage him to take the next logical steps:

Call Bp. D'Arcy right now. His number in Fort Wayne is: (260) 422-4611; in South Bend, (574) 234-0687

These are the action recommendations as summarized by Randall Terry, and as far as I can see, they represent a true consensus of what the faithful prolife students themselves want us to do.

Please send this email to your friends; ask them to join us in contacting Bishop D'Arcy to THANK him for boycotting the commencement, and urge him to take the next critically necessary steps.

And pray. Pray hard.

The short answer is that the Church neither owns nor runs Notre Dame. Notre Dame and several other "Catholic" universities effectively gave God and Rome the finger in 1967 at the Land O' Lakes conference; thank you Hesburgh. They are secular institutions masquerading as Catholic ones.

God gives us all plenty of rope to hang ourselves with but hopes that one might exercise free will, see the error of their ways and repent, e.g. the good thief at Golgotha, prior to one's particular judgment; that includes Jenkins' superiors. Until Obowma actually opens his pie hole at South Bend, Jenkins may allow himself to be influenced by the Paraclete and stop this heresy. If he had any brains he'd seize that opportunity sooner rather than later but the time for that is running out. If he fails to do so then the consequences for him will not be pleasant, either in this world or the next.

Isn’t that about the time that they allowed non-catholics and black non-Catholic athletes on their campus . . . and thus became another training camp for the NFL??????

Thank you for the ping. I have not followed this story in depth but it looks like standing up to this Obama outrage is really making a difference. I will call in the AM.

Obama administration policies, ideology, actions and his CHARACTER (or lack of, a lying conniving fraud) have to be attacked.

ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK. Keep racheting it up. Bring on more Tea-Parties, bring on disobedience, bring on dissention and especially focus and expose Zero as ineligible, incompetent, hypocritical, racist, etc. — same thing goes for the tranny Michele.

Aww, too insensitive? The evidence of their improprieties, associations, warped ideologies is to be exposed and taken advantage of and try to incite a response.

Zero’s a lightweight. He does not have the mental fortitude or experience necessary. He CANNOT HANDLE CRITICISM. Nor can his incompetent band of merry fools. Peaceful tea parties around the country and these clowns go overboard; they have ALREADY crossed the line.

So let’s get the usurper and affirmative action candidate riled up to the point he ACTS ON EMOTION. HE WILL OVERSTEP HIS BOUNDS. HE WILL MAKE A MAJOR BLUNDER. Let Zero destroy himself. His own vanity and arrogance will do the job for us.

That’s the plan Stan, and I’m sticking with it.

Never. This is part of Obama’s strategy - well, actually, the strategy of the people behind him, because there’s nothing between Bambi’s ears but meanness - to make it appear as if the Church has had to chose between him and the Lord and 2000 years of doctrine - and it’s chosen him.

The Catholic Church has been the only institution that has even tried to resist him, and everything he has done - picking Biden, his various nominations of pro-abortion “Catholics,” etc. - have been challenges to the Church and aimed at proving that he’s stronger. This whole ND thing is part of that, and unless he thinks it’s going to be extremely embarrassing for some reason, he won’t back out.

Jenkins is going to spend a lot of time on the spit for letting Bambi do this to the Church.

1) He has no decency.

2) In his mind going to NDU and doing this makes him bigger than Jesus Christ.
