Montana Governor Signs New Gun Law

Executive Summary - The USA state of Montana has signed into power a revolutionary gun law. I mean REVOLUTIONARY.

The State of Montana has defied the federal government and their gun laws. This will prompt a showdown between the federal government and the State of Montana. The federal government fears citizens owning guns. They try to curtail what types of guns they can own. The gun control laws all have one common goal - confiscation of privately owned firearms.

You would be surprised by the number of job opportunities that would arise with all us conservatives moving in.

Capitalists have an effect on places that way. Works every time it's tried.

Unless Texas goes you’ll be waiting awhile.

If Texas goes Oklahoma is likely to come along for the new fun and games called Freedom and Capitalism.

I heartily agree. What would concern me is the lag between “getting there” and “generating wealth”. Lots of entrepreneurs walking the streets trying to build opportunities.

We’d all need to replace the stuff coming in from “outside” plus work on defense and self-sufficiency, in the face of a likely sanction from TOC (The Other Country).

Football ceased to exist for me when Joe Montana retired. Glad he’s living a happy life.

I'm willing if everyone else is.

Just think, if every Freeper moved to Montana we could control the state because we outnumber the population they now have.

We could call it FreeperLand! Or something like that.

Remove Exception 4, which not only bans machine guns, but also shotguns! I like machine guns!

I like it, but there is one flaw.

The prohibition of the inclusion of parts from other states to be subject to this law could be interpreted as restricting commerce from one state to another.

I know why they did it, follow the logic. I think this is a weakness and likely wasn’t needed.

A free-market economy is a bootstrapping entity: it builds off itself.

It may take some time and struggle to get going, and it may never match the economy of another region. But after all, the Pilgrims didn’t sail to America with job offers in their pockets. Nobody paid relocation expenses for the pioneers who settled the plains states. :-)

People move in search of something better, something that outweighs the cost and risk of moving. For many folks these days, that something better is freedom.

Good point. I should probably pay attention to spelling and/or proof read, eh?

Hey, I have dibs on the Gallatin Canyon area!

How 'bout you have one side of the river, and I have the other ?

That is my favorite place on the planet.

I worked at the ski resort on Lone Mountain back in the winter of “86”. Actually I was a cook at Whiskey Jacks. My roommate was a lift operator and I was able to get free skiing time in.

What a tradegy. I hope you and your wife have overcome this horrible event. Ennis really has not changed since 1878, there are a few more people and higher real estate prices, but otherwise about the same.

The Lord has been good. I often think of writing a story about that fateful day so many years ago. I thought maybe I could name the story,

"Riding in Cars, With Girls."....... Not unique enough?

Ennis really has not changed since 1878, there are a few more people and higher real estate prices, but otherwise about the same.

As I recall it was still pretty desolate in October of "87". Almost as if it happened yesterday.

Freepmail me if you would like to know what happened. I really do not mind sharing it. I just don't in a public forum. What I have shared today is more then I ever have before, publicly anyway.
