Stuff happens.
We have to really get over ourselves and get back to doing our jobs, and taking stuff as it happens. This was unfortunate, and perhaps even stupid. No, really, it WAS stupid.
But that doesn’t mean that they should be sued. This crap has got to stop.

Why would you presume that this is your decision? Further there are legitimate lawsuits or do you want to stop them all?
Oh, and personally I would be pissed if this happened to my wife. I guess we are just very different in how we try to care for and protect our family.
“Stuff happens”...I would agree. If someone hit a sprinkler head; or started a small fire in an office kitchen...and people were injured evacuating the building...I would sum that up to random, chance occurence. Stuff like that happens.
But Air Force One just doesn’t ‘happen’ to be in the air. There are long planned logistical decisions; timing issues; staff on the ground in MD; the White House; the Air Force; Air Traffic Control; ie., hundreds involved...in a planned flight. Huge difference.

I have asthma...if I had to run down 40 flights of stairs; in fear; I would wind up in the ER. I would guess there are alot of asthmatics; angina sufferers; migraines; not to mention twisted ankles; sprains; falls. This isn’t a game...people lost wages; business lost productivity; and (again) I would guess people had medical issues from the stress.
Well, the George Lucas ‘Redtail’ movie has been mentioned a bunch. It is about the Tuskegee Airmen (an all black unit)...and how ‘symbolic’ if they were ‘shown’ escorting AF1 over Ground Zero, NYC? I would guess, that with all of the outrage...and I can’t imagine that they didn’t think that thru...that the scenes ‘shot’ in the flyover are just worthless now. I mean if the use the footage, well...the secret it ‘out.’
You would think though that someone would break ranks and spill what they know. So maybe a big, class action suit would help bring the truth to the public...during discovery?
In the shape I am presently in if I had been in NYC & gone through this bs I would be suing....Had you been in or near the towers on 9/11 then all that would come back to you. Years that you spent trying to get over it would now be wasted. I feel badly for these people. What on earth are our elected officials on ?
I think a bunch of staff members thought it would be fun to fly low over Manhatten and use their cell phones to call their wall street buds to find out how their September short America orders were doing.

While I an not a law suit kind of guy, think what would have happened if New Yorkers flew a Jet close to the pentagon with a fighter jet behind it?

They voted Obama and they got what they deserved. I have no sympathy for any of those Libtards in New York.

And how is filing a lawsuit weeks after the incident caring for your family? Its trying to get revenge. Or greed. Neither of which are very healthy. Is it caring for your wife to make her relive her pain through depositions and courtroom trials to get your pound of flesh?

I am not uncaring. I would be pissed if it happened to my wife too. But I dont think a lawsuit against the taxpayers is a reasonable reaction.

You are projecting what your reasoning would be not an adults. Often the only way to punish a wrongdoer and prevent a repeat of the action is civil prosecution as I don't think the S.S. will allow those wronged to whip Odinga's ass.

These people didn't "feel slighted"; further proof that you don't understand the situation and are simply babbling. They were truely frightened and some traumatized and deserve redress.
