The ‘incremental’ approach (not unlike slow boiling a frog) is something they might try however I think what has been overlooked is that we’ve been on slow boil for quite a while now. While imposing the aspects of martial law (without calling it such) might be seen as necessary in presumably riot torn areas, the rest of the Country isn’t going to just roll over and accept it, as I see it.
And any federal move to seize local broadcasting facilities will only fan the flames because local broadcasters can’t stop the propagation of news via ham radio, citizens band, let alone the Internet.
We have to be on our guard against such things, no question. But the incremental approach is already underway and it began last January 20th. Like all tyrants, 0bama will over reach and over play his hand, and the fact is:
0bama’s own people will be the first to remove him from his lofty usurped position if it appears he has screwed the pooch beyond repair.
And believe this: he’s already lubed up and contemplating the best way to attempt insertion.

I hope you're right. However, based upon how the Swine Flu "crisis" went, I suspect the Feds would institute Martial Law as a way to "protect the public" -- and most of the public would go quietly along.
For example, we all support the 4th Amendment protecting against illegal search and seizure. However, most people would not raise too much concern if health officials in bio-suits were directed to do mandatory house-to-house searches for infected people in a "Quarantine area", seizing blood samples and "isolating" those who refused "treatment."
They aren't stupid -- otherwise, they wouldn't have manipulated the public and media to be in office today...

Just wanted to make a note that on this thread you have given me hope. I just HAVE to believe that there are enough people around like myself who REMEMBER the “old America” (especially those who grew up during the Cold War), and know of the sacrifices our families made in WWII, and have known veterans lucky enough to come home PERSONALLY.
I also have faith in our U.S. Military. Their treatment over the last 8 years has not destroyed their honor - if anything it has shown them that the left does NOT honor them, nor their service, nor their sacrifices in the name of the U.S., Freedom from Oppression, etc...
The only thing I fear is that the people in this country will accept these new changes out of fear — much like the Russians, Germans, and the Venezuelans accepted things (to name a few). Obama was right to run on “Hope” because many Americans are feeling hopeless in some ways, and that worries me as well — even though they don’t realize it’s all propaganda they’ve been fed for the 2 decades in the agenda-driven media.
Hirohito once said that he would never invade mainland American because there was an American with a gun behind every blade of grass... Well, in many places outside the cities — that’s probably about right (with plenty to share with those who are without for whatever reason if it became necessary).
My all-time favorite TV show in the last few years was Jericho (which I watched online). One of my all-time favorite movies is the Patriot, followed by Red Dawn. Can you tell? LOL I hope it doesn’t come to that type of a scenario, but if it does — As a woman I’ll do what I can for those fighting for me, that’s for sure. Florence Nightingale, or Julia Child - here I come! First, I’m hoping to be too far North to be affected by the New Madrid Earthquake... I’ll have to look back into that now that we aren’t in Colorado anymore!
As for discouragement of arms, I know you aren’t suggesting people not take precautions as such — I can back you up on that, Quix! LOL Besides, in Luke the Lord said - sell your cloaks and buy swords (so he can’t be adverse to self-defensive actions...). And, seeing as no-one uses swords anymore I would think that guns would be a suitable substitute...
I will also say that the LORD GOD will provide the STRENGTH and COURAGE needed to oppose the evil, as long as we abide in Him. You are right that this “enemy” will need to be engaged on a Spiritual plane as well, adding what prayers we can to support the Lord’s Angels in their missions - as they can help us, so can we help them. Our faith increases their power, in some ways, I believe.
A Note on a New Madrid Fault Line Earthquake...
I felt the SMALL quake in So. Illinois back in the mid-late 1980s. It shook our dinner table — not badly, but you could sure see the rings in our beverages... And we were outside CHICAGO in the NW suburbs - hundreds of miles North. We didn’t think much of it because we only felt the shock of the “Big” wave - it last about 10 seconds or less. Just enough time for us all to stop talking put our hands on the side of the table, and stare at each other with bugged out eyes! You couldn’t feel a LOT of shaking, but as I said the ripples in our water glasses were CLEARLY SEEN during that time — round and well-spaced... It was as if a plane had flown overhead WAY too low, but instead of shaking the windows, and silently it shook from underneath. A very surreal feeling...
I have thought of this possibility. The way I “handle” that possible outcome? Remembering how the Polish people throughout years of their country being occupied, and despite the rule imposed upon them, they taught their children, and resisted in the best ways they knew how.
I can’t remember exactly under what oppressive gov’t this took place, but at one time it was forbidden to even SPEAK Polish, but mothers TAUGHT their children to read, write, and speak in Polish anyway. They would arrange “playdates” but instead of playing the children and their mothers would school their children in the language and the Polish culture. That is why after CENTURIES the Polish people still maintain many of their customs, their language, and their beliefs.
If it comes to that, American Patriots will be much the same way I believe. Teaching our children the TRUTH and biding our time until it is right...
I pray that’s not the way this will go down here in America though... And, I have a pretty good feeling we may be seeing the signs in Revelation soon - so it may truly be something we won’t have to “worry about” so to speak...
BTW: I pray daily AGAINST Jesus coming again, as he honestly exhorts us to — one more day, one more hour, can mean one more soul being saved.

Privately owned weapons must be registered with the Provost Marshal, but only if they are to be brought onto the post. Someone living off post need not register their privately owned weapons with the Army, unless they want to take them on post, say to shoot a round of trap/skeet, or to hunt, since hunting is allowed on many posts.
