The obvious explanation is the simplest one: Pat Buchanan is an anti-semite, as we have seen for years now.
Buchanaon, I suspect is a closet “radtrad” - someone who is “more catholic than the pope” (think Mel and Hutton Gibson - but maybe not outright schismatic)
He uses their language and he has that anti-semitic orientation you see that is common in those folks.
If it weren’t for Pat’s own sketchy history with this topic, I’d be inclined to defend the practice of letting the hate-filled lunatics make fools of themselves, vent their anger and frustration in an internet forum (in hopes it would lessen their tendency to vent it in more damaging ways in the concrete world), and concentrate their hate-filled rantings on their own pet threads so they’d be less disruptive on other threads. However, given Pat’s history, this can only be seen as a tacit endorsement of line of “thinking” expressed by the hate-filled lunatic posters.
So the administrator of Buchanan's site agreed to let someone with a history of posting this sort of thing start and maintain a thread devoted to it. Perhaps, as I suggested before, in an effort to sort of quarantine this crowd in their own little "Smoky Back Room", but not a wise decision, given Buchanan's history. Obviously Pat himself has now had his attention drawn to the specific contents of this thread, thanks to the NY Daily News, and STILL it is being allowed to stay up, so he can't just blame it on a site administrator's poor judgement.
At the risk of sounding like I agree with "schnapps", I DO think it's a good thing that the US doesn't have legal prohibitions against this sort of discussion being conducted in a publicly accessible forum. But Buchanan should definitely not be the one hosting it. I'd support some outfit like the ACLU hosting this sort of thread, where it would be clear that the host's intent was to emphasize our nation's sacred right to free speech, and not to promote the specific content. Otherwise, let the deranged Holocaust-deniers pay for their own site -- I'm sure there are plenty of ISPs out that would tolerate this.
And why is anyone surprised?
This mentally ill behavior will be seen more often as another side effect of 0b0z0. He has surrounded himself with so advisors, who hate Israel and the real Jews who support Israel.

(IsraelNN.com) A survey conducted by the Boston Review in its May/June issue shows that nearly 25% of American non-Jews blame “the Jews” a moderate amount or more for the financial crisis.
Furthermore, a total of 38.4% of the non-Jews in the U.S. attribute at least some level of blame to the group.
Possibly most significant of all were the subconscious anti-Semitic tendencies revealed based on the way the questions were phrased to different groups.
