I’m suspicious and expect to see
ads for a break through product
that directly competes with Cheerios.

Chicken industry says beef is bad.

Beef industry says eggs are bad.

>> Same thing happened to Red Yeast Rice last year. Walgreens had a brand that really helped keep your LDL down to a good level. The FDA made them pull it because it was working as well as a Statin Drug without all the side effects of a Statin. <<

Yeah, hook us on drugs with dangerous side effects and ban cooked oat based cereal.

Washington, Oct. 3 - The Food and Drug Administration has warned the maker of tropical fruit drink XanGo over claims the beverage can prevent or treat cancer, depression, infection, Alzheimer’s disease and other ailments. Daily News Alerts

- We respect your privacy - In a Sept. 20 letter to XanGo LLC, released Tuesday, the FDA said brochures for the purple mangosteen beverage also asserted it was “a proven, natural COX-2 inhibitor,” referring to painkillers such as Pfizer Inc.’s Celebrex and Merck & Co Inc.’s withdrawn Vioxx. <<

That is an example of a wanton false claims, what i see on my cheerios box is pretty much common sense.

Have Studies said that diets high in insoluble fiber lead to a lower of cholesterol? CHECK

I see no issue with it, the FDA should be spending it’s time investigating bad food products from China which contain really dangerous chemicals. But instead they pick on a domestic food supplier who has an ad agency who may be a little bit over eager.

Yeah, instead of cheerios, i guess I will feed my kid some milk candies from china and hope they don’t contain melamine.

Look up the warning letters for marketing on the FDA’s FOIA page...and then research the CFR. FDA is perfectly right to enforce against General Mills in this case.

Or...you can just freshen up the tin foil...

Yeah, and perhaps you should take it up with the FDA and congress.
