Excellent point. My guess is we’re just about to see tens of thousands of inmates released to the streets of the state.

I hope you’re right that CA voters will not be happy with grammy Feinstein, but i don’t know if that will translate into replacing her with another candidate. The RATS have too much power here as you know. Any candidate, RAT or GOP will have to overcome all DiFi’s years of encumbancy at that. So i’m still thinking she can pretty much get away with anything. And nobody will call her out on any of the things you mentioned. I would be surprised if any of it touched her.

I’m just surprised it wasn’t Boxer. There’s eleven eggs short of a dozen if ever there was one.

Hey, I thought that honor went to Lynn Woolsely (sp?) who keeps giving free tickets to government events to Code Pinko chickies and manchicks?! At least, that's the impression I got when I met her in CA years ago...;-)

Let the people vote on a proposition on that, you ignorant slut.

Better stand back.

Seems to me these terror suspects will love the recruiting possibilities

Exactly. The bottom line reason why this would be a dreadful idea. And btw, what are you going to do with them when their sentences are up? You won't be able to deport them because nobody else wants them. And the ACLU will be feverishly advocating all sorts of benefits for them when they settle in to their neighborhoods across the country, as "legal" immigrants.

Okay so there are two of them. LOL

I’m sure there are more too. Our state has picked some of the most rotten eggs to represent us.

RE: “After seeing several documentaries on Pelican Bay, it might not be a bad idea.

A bad, bad place.”

Oh yeah — I thought of Pelican Bay immediately.

Sounds like a lovely resort, doesn’t it? It’s not!

A friend moved up to that area and everyone in the closest town works for the prison it seems. My friend runs a small motel and has the thrill of catering to ‘guests’ who are in town to visit their relatives/buddies incarcerated at PB. A charming group of visitors, he said. NOT!!!!!!!!!!

The terrorists would probably be in much more danger to life and limb in CA prisons than in Gitmo.

True but trivial. Gitmo is totally safe. But have you followed the problems in Great Britain with imprisoned jihadis? Pretty soon they'll be running the place, and then the ACLU shysters will start pounding for their release into the general population. No thanks. These are a lot badder apples than run o' the mill gangbangers.

I kinda agree with DiFi. Methinks they should be brought to U.S. soil, and then let go. The only requirement I would stipulate is that the America public know the time, date and location of the release.

Gitmo is totally safe.

I agree but the far-left version of Gitmo is that it is the locus of torture and therefore constitutes a horror that must be shut down. On that basis (that Gitmo is relatively safe) the vicious prison culture at maximum security US prisons, which has evolved into more than merely incarcerated gang bangers, might prove dangerous to foreign terrorists. Some of the prison gang members might fancy themselves "patriots" who should exact revenge upon the Jihadis.

obviously Diane hasn’t thought this out very well.

That presupposes rational, not to mention, functioning brain cells.
