Conservatives: Liz Cheney Should Run for Office
USNews ^ | 5/22/09 | Paul Bedard

The hottest Republican property out there isn't former Vice President Dick Cheney but his daughter Liz, who has taken to the airwaves to defend her dad and the whole Bush administration on national security and Guantánamo Bay issues. Liz Cheney, who followed the former veep's hard-hitting speech criticizing President Obama's policies with a CNN appearance, is becoming so popular in conservative circles that some want her to run for office. "She's awesome. Everyone wants her to run," said a close friend.

You gotta stop offering liberals and compromisers any support of any kind. Nothing will change until you do. They have to know that the only way to get conservative support is to run real conservatives.

I’m not OFFERING any support. I haven’t given a dime to the NRSC or the RNC for years. I was never a republican until they changed the primary laws in my state, so I was forced to register. After Mccain was nominated, I re-registered independent.

What I am TELLING you though, is that if you are waiting for the day when only life long rock ribbed conservatives are nominated and winning elections, you will be waiting a very long time.

If you don’t set a destination you’ll just continue wandering in the wilderness.

Lay down the principles. Make no compromises. Leave the results to God.

Again, those who won’t keep their constitutional oaths are not fit for any office in the land.

I have set a destination. And I’m not sure why you think I’m making compromises.

95% of the people in office are not fit for office. Some alot more unfit than others.

I don’t plan on leaving the results to God. He’s not voting. I plan on helping identify and elect the next set of Reagans, Hunters, DeMints, Goldwaters, Helmses, Sessionses, etc, etc.

In the meantime, if Mitt becomes a MA senator, it will still be a vast improvement over the repulsive, anti-American stalinists in office currently.

Got your panties all twisted I see. GOOD! I'll bet you wet the bed too.

I always enjoy taking any opportunity to expose frauds like Romney or juvenile delinquents like you.

JimRob provides the spell checker for everyone. You're either too lazy or too stupid to figure out how to use it.

George and George jr. were both born up north. They are not native Texans.

This woman didn’t need “face time” to have the makings of a leader. She was born into a family where she learned it firsthand at her father’s and mother’s knee.

Thank you, Lord. She could’ve been like Ronald and Nancy Reagan’s two kids.

“I always enjoy taking any opportunity to expose frauds like Romney or juvenile delinquents like you.”

That would be pretty clever, even for a mouth breather like you, if I were talking about Romney. But since you are too dim to follow a thread, I guess spell checking, that tool that can make even simpletons like you appear to know how to spell, is all you have to cling to. No taste for the truth about yourself, attack others. typical DUmmie tactic...

“?

Good luck with this chucklehead - he still thinks the Liz Cheney thread is about a certain Utah native whose name I will not mention because he will pop up his wooden head and say “AHA, I knew this thread was about”...well, anyway, good luck... I gave up on figuring out his logic...although I bet it would be good with mustard on it...

>>Ohhhhhh. NATIVE texans...that’s different...<<

You bet it is. If they were natives, they’da had that border shut down faster than you could say illegal.

Besides, Texans are probably the most conservative people in the nation.

I must say, the Bush family are far from true conservatives.

Now, Bush was pretty tough after 911. He did get out there and kick some serious butt.

He did protect the nation from another terror attack.

With that said, after his first term, Bush began turning left, not right as everyone had expected.

Giving billions to Africa for Aids.

Concocting a new entitlement program for Rx's.

An economic stimulus program to the tune of eight hundred billion that had to be passed.....NOW, right now or the financial sector would collapse.

Attempting to push (and push hard) for amnesty of up to thirty million illegals.

Pushing the Trans Texas corridor which would have taken hundreds of thousands of acres of private farm and ranch land through eminent domain.

Supporting the Mexican trucker pilot program.

Decimating the California avocado industry for Mexican avocados.

Was Bush the worst president, certainly not. That title still hangs on Clinton / Carter's door frame.

Was Bush a fiscal liberal....yes. Was he giving preferential treatment to foreign countries regarding trade...yes.

Rick Lazio is again taking over for Rudy it looks like.

Lazio narrowly leads Patterson in the polls.

Little Ricky is making a comeback. I hope he runs a better campaign than he ran for the Senate in 2000.
