For all intents and purposes, Ronald Reagan was a Republican by the time he was 41 and already well on the road to low tax-limited government conservatism.
Romney had his so-called conservative epiphany when he was nearly 60, coming on the eve of his decision to run for president. A Johnny-Come-Lately, phony baloney, if there ever was one.
Reagan was driven by principles and love of country. Political expediency drives Willard's personal ambition.

“There was a difference. Ronald Reagan was sincere.”
Well, now...how did we know that at the time and what shows that Liz is not?

Actually, even though I disagree with plenty of Romney’s stances, he’d probably have been a good person to be president this last time around. One of the biggest issues we’re facing today is the economic downturn and Romney did great at turning the Olympic troubles into a successful and profitable event. Would he be perfect? Heck no. Would he have been light years better than Zero? Of course.

I’d not only vote for for her (her dad, or her mother) in a New York minute, but I’d work day and night on the campaign. bttt

I guess you haven't noticed that the GOP in Congress is the only thing standing in the way of a complete socialist tsunami. And yet no matter what Republican name is mentioned there are thirty people who show up to trash them for some perceived transgression .
How is that advancing conservatism? And how is pulling a group of conservatives out of the Republican party going to help the unborn? You will successfully isolate and neuter the movement.
McCain wasn't even my list of candidates, but if he had been elected the millions of babies that will die in the next 4 years would be born. And you cannot guarantee that any candidate you support will be 100% pure. It won't happen. America is not going to rise up and follow you, not in the present political climate with the media run by the Left. I still do not understand how starting from scratch is better than refashioning and strengthening.

I was talking about Romney.
And anyone who supports that phony has a huge blot in their copy book as far as I’m concerned. It would take an awful lot for me to ever trust or support them for anything.

She can run for congress. I don’t think anyone wants her to run for president. For that matter, let Romney run for the Senate. Much rather have him there than in the oval office.

Slick Willard never wanted to be Senator. He only wanted to be Emperor and King of the Universe.

And how is pulling a group of conservatives out of the Republican party going to help the unborn? You're quite mistaken if you think the Republican Party is doing anything at all to help the unborn. Haven't you heard? According to GOP "leaders," conservatives "can't win."
