N. Korea warns new U.N. sanctions will void armistice

SEOUL, May 29 (Yonhap) -- North Korea said Friday its second nuclear test, which took place this week, was a self-defense measure in response to the U.N. Security Council's punishment for its April 5 rocket launch, and that any further U.N. sanctions would be tantamount to scrapping the Korean War armistice.

"Should the U.N. Security Council attempt further provocations, our further self-defense measures will be inevitable in response," the North's foreign ministry said in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.

"Hostile activity by the U.N. Security Council will be tantamount to nullifying the Korean War Armistice Agreement," it said.

Things have really improved now with Korea and Iran since Obama replaced power diplomacy with "talking diplomacy" (/sarcasm).

It seems that Iran and Korea have discovered that the tail CAN actually wag the dog especially when the dog is spineless...

Looks like a translation problem. The following makes more sense.

"Should the U.N. Security Council attempt further penalties for our provocative actions, additional offensive measures will be inevitable," the North's foreign ministry meant to say in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.

Would not count 100 % on that. Obama would love a war. All his previous mistakes will vanish.

That is the real meaning. I read the Korean text of their announcement. It did say, “self-defensive measure,’ even though it is patently clear what it really is.

All the South would have to do is scatter poisoned fish heads in the path of any advance.

The Obama nation is complying with its "whistle past the graveyard -- ain't nothin there" attitude.

My comment from a similar thread yesterday;
“Didja see the vid of Lil Kim on tv yesterday? He looks very frail. Looks like he’s lost a lot of weight too. Hope he hasn’t decided to go out with a bang!”

If the Zer0 declares Martial Law he will have more than one war to contend with.

But the Norks already tore up the armistice because those pesky South Koreans joined the PSI.

How can one tear up something that’s already torn up?

Then in response, North Korea should be threatened with their removal as permanent observers to the United Nations General Assembly, and told to vacate their offices in New York City in 48 hours, and that the State Department will declare their UN representatives personna non grata.

They are the signatories to an agreement with the UN, which is the opposing belligerent party. If they scrap the armistace, they are declaring resumption of hostility against the United Nations Command. Therefore, they can no longer be a member of the United Nations.

I dare both the Obama Administration and the United Nations to take this tact with this barking dog. Of course, they do not have the b*lls to do it, and as we know, General MacArthur is no longer alive.

My solution (at least ramp it up if they are going to ramp it up).
