WASHINGTON – The White House says Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor acknowledges she made a poor word choice in a 2001 speech in which she said that a Latina judge would often reach a better conclusion than a white male judge who hasn't lived the same life.

That's according to presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs. He says he has not talked directly to Sotomayor about it but has spoken to people who have.

Well, of course she did. “I hate whitey” was worded “poorly”. And it always helps being explained to by the dumbest presidential spokesperson in history.

Even better, if you can perform the magic trick of demonising your opposition for calling you out on it.

Coulter expounds on this tactic of the left in "Guilty".

I am getting SO TIRED of this lame ass excuse. “I mispoke.” “I used the wrong words.” WHAT OTHER WORDS COULD YOU USE TO GET THE SAME MEANING? LOL! Man, these politicians just come out with excuses like this and watch the groupthink lap it up.

Is this something like when Gibbs told us what Biden "meant to say" a while back?

Isn't this sort of thing usually referred to as heresay and considered unreliable? Oh, I forgot, this is the OBAMA administration -- we believe what we're told to believe. Sorry. My bad.

Mr. Gibbs: Does the president believe he makes better decisions than the his 43 white male predicessors because of his Afro-American experiences?

Follow up sir: Is the president’s judgement as a black male as good as an hispanic female?

So what different wording does she think she should have used, “rich honky mo-fo”?

At the time of the speech she was a lawyer, a judge, and actually wrote the speech before delivering it.

She knew what she wrote, knew what she was going to say, and said it. It was not a gaffe.

If she indeed "chose her words poorly" then she is not qualified to sit on the SCOTUS.

But I thought Supreme Court Justices were in the business of choosing words...

I must be confused.

“I...ummm... have...well, duh...ummm... not talked....[Bush’s fault]...ummmm...hannity... directly....ummm,duhh....ahhhhh...ha ha...[fixes glasses] to Sotomayor.....[Did I mention conservatives suck] ummmmm....uhhhhh.... about it but have....ummmm..[gosh,I need a teleprompter as well] spoken to....ahhh...welll,uhhhh...[wonder how he will spend all our money...] people who....ahhhh...[crap...what why I talking about]....ummmm..... have.

“Yeah, she messed up. She told the truth about her racist viewpoints.”

I don’t think that she’s had the opportunity to give her Sesame Street view of Law interpretation versus the US Constitution.

So far, it’s been, the Daily Uh guy speaking for the Latina Woman SC nominee.

Now, isn’t THAT apropox?
