An angel tells Nephi of the blessings and cursings to fall upon the Gentiles—There are only two churches: the Church of the Lamb of God and the church of the devil—The saints of God in all nations are persecuted by the great and abominable church—The apostle John shall write concerning the end of the world. There are a lot of people out there who think they know all there is about the Catholic faith what is even more interesting is that there many Catholics who left the faith and never even knew it. My Aunt did some family research which took years and found evidence of being a distant relative. She actually has legal papers of the research but then trusted it to her brother and his family who lost them. The family has been upset over this because my mother’s brother was the one that lost the papers due to his alcoholic driven life. My husband laughs at me because he didn’t get the chance to see the papers. Mom saw them but was not allowed to touch them by the brother who lost them!

Well, my problem with Marian philosophy is the fact that while she is the virgin mother of God and special, she is scriptually nothing more special than that--she was a vessel that God used in much the same way that he used his prophets, Saints and even Jesus to get his message across. And, while I believe that she was a virgin when Jesus was conceived, she wasn't a perpetual one as there is reason to believe that Christ had brothers and sisters (James is mentioned as one). I suppose also that I take some reservation about her bodily assumption into heaven as well (though, I have to admit, there is the Old Testament account of Esau entering this way),
