Climate change threatens Mideast stability

DAMASCUS (Reuters) - Climate change could spark "environmental wars" in the Middle East over already scarce water supplies and dissuade Israel from any pullout from occupied Arab land, an international report said on Tuesday.

"The expectation of coming environmental wars might imply that the way to deal with shrinking resources is to increase military control over them," said the Danish-funded study by the International Institute for Sustainable Development, an independent organization headquartered in Canada.

There already has been serious climate change there. the rainfall used to be plentiful and th eland lush.

As we came out of the last Ice Age the band of rain moved North, leaving the Middle East much dryer.

james Burke had a TV documentary on this, he pointed out all the abandoned towns and cities, under dust and sand, wells dry.

Climate change happens. This has been hard for us humans to understand. Most of our religions teach that things are fixed, that things have always been the way they are amd must continue to be fixed.

Look up Doggerland, which used to be inhabited, or consider that Loing Island Sound was a valley with a river some 10,000 years ago.

Adapt or die. Those who seek stability will find it in the only way it’s granted, a place among the fossils of our time.

Lets talk about climate change. It is forty five degrees F in Rapid City, SD right now. So where is that feared Global Warming? Oh, if we call it climate change, it doesn’t matter what direction the thermometer goes, you win we lose, I got it.

Anyone that votes for, believes in, or furthers the cause of cap and trade, is part of the problem. Coal is clean, and the misnamed “fossil fuels” are doing just fine and will continue to be the engine of our progress until something better comes along, and that will be when it happens and not before.

Climate change is now the reason for problems in the middle east. So once again, America and its SUV’s are obviously to blame for everything.

“Climate change threatens Mideast stability”

LOL!!!

The scarcity of water has been a noted factor in the Mideast for many, many YEARS....and the fact that this would eventually become a major source of conflict is well known (or SHOULD be).

Aww...come on. This is ridiculous. This has to be the silliest piece of agitprop I have EVER seen.

The mideast on the verge of war because of this sophomoric President, and now were being lined up in EVERY direction to be afraid to breathe?

Where's that Not This Sh*t Again graphic.

It's just getting silly.

Climate change could spark "environmental wars" in the Middle East

And monkeys could fly out of my butt.

Yeah, a couple of degrees of temperature increase would leave the Middle East a hot, dry, dusty, unproductive hell, instead of the green paradise it is now.

Middle East stability was and has been threatened long, long before the advent of dubious Global Warming.

Barry, allowing Iran to continue its nucelar weapons program is not helping matters and may well invariably add to dubious Global Warming concerns...irony, got to love it.
