The South Carolina Supreme Court has ordered Gov. Mark Sanford to apply for the disputed $700 million in federal stimulus money.

The court voted 5-0, with Justice Costa Pleicones concurring in a separate opinion, that the General Assembly had the authority in passing the state budget to order Sanford to apply for the money. Sanford contended that a federal law passed in February gave him the sole authority to apply for the money.

In SC, the judges are appointed by the legislature!!!!!

How’s THAT for “separation of powers”?

It’s all about the money...these people wouldn’t know how to act on principle if their lives depended on it! No common sense at all.

Our SC capital is infested with RINOs who have felt the Sanford veto sting of their pork projects as well.

Like liberals, their blind hatred for applied fiscal conservatism is despicable.

Sanford is a SC politician demanding conservatism in our state legislature as our Sen. DeMint SC politician is demanding conservatism in our nation's legislature.

Yet the MSM,including Foxnews, goes to the discredited RINOs to voice opinions on the pulse of conservatism.

I'm going more crazy daily—the vote is becoming a joke and the US is doomed.

We need to find better candidates across the board to reverse course. We need to find candidates that will not be bought and paid for.

The RINO mantra of, “Who else are the dumbass conservatives going to vote for...libertarians?” must no longer scare us into voting for Leftist enablers who send America into socialist Hell only slower.

Money and support in 2010 MUST go to rock-ribbed conservatives only or yes...we SHOULD vote Libertarian.

If we don’t do it in 2010,then it’s 2nd Amendment time.

Even if he is forced to take the money ~ don’t know how that happens ~ he still scores points in 3 years for doing what is right and making a stand.

It’s a shame he probably can’t take the money and build 2 nuclear power plants. All this money is going down the tubes.

There won’t even be any kind of return on investment.
