Good idea! How about a class action suit against the media for libel against conservatives? It’s time to start boycotting advertisers of the state run media imho. It’s gone too far!

The fact of the matter to me is that is mother WAS, that and the fact that we should focus on his fitness to hold officer rather than his qualification for office which was basically decided by the people of the United States on Nov. 6, 2008 (primarily because of a less than stellar 8-year performance by one George W. Bush!_

It doesn't matter that his mother was a citizen at the time The One was born, under the laws of the land at that time, given her age, if he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii, Mr. Obama is not a citizen of the United States at all, ("natural" or not) and is in fact an illegal alien. The vote by "teh peepol" can't change that. And there is more evidence that The One was born in Kenya than in Hawaii.

The fact that GWB sucked is irrelevant.

If they claim that, then they can also claim he was a member of Wikipedia.

They (wiki) quickly scrubbed his posts.

As far as I know, he never posted here. But, an article posted on a Norwegian blog was once posted here.

But some of the nonsense spewed out by cynical politicians and right-wing media personalities is enough to spur a mentally unbalanced person to pick up a gun and start shooting.

So you're blaming conservative politicians and media personalities for this shooting? That is so ridiculous I don't even know where to start.

First of all, this shooting was an attack primarily on Jews and Jewish history. The vast majority of anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli hatred is coming from the far left - people and organizations like Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Code Pink, Jihad Cynthia McKinney, that San Francisco State university protest where they chanted "Hitler should have finished the job," etc. If anyone besides the shooter is responsible for the killing, it should be left-wing extremists like Wright and left-wing hate sites like DU and Kos.

Second, do you go to left-wing hate sites and tell them that their media, their politicians, their pundits, are to blame for the shooting of the soldiers in Arkansas because of the anti-American, anti-military rhetoric they spew? I thought not. So in your twisted mind, only conservatives bear collective responsibility.

And just which individuals do you accuse of being these mysterious evil right-wing extremists who caused this shooting? Rush Limbaugh? Michelle Malkin? Sarah Palin? They're all staunchly pro-Israel and pro-Jewish.

Frankly, I'll be impressed if you can come up with any response better than, "My signup date is older than yours, therefore I must be right!" I've been a member here for four and a half years. My credentials are not in question.

I really do think it is time for lawsuits against the state run media. They are going too far!

I heard the same article was posted on DU when it was going viral on the internet last year. Someone posted that it was on one of the other threads.

Well, that settles it! DU is responsible for this shooting! Arrest every DUmmie and charge them with being an accessory to murder!

You could probably google search his name and DU and find an article cached.

You could probably do the same with his name and Kos site and find the same.

I'm not a lawyer, but I'm going to give my inexpert opinion that conservatives as a class aren't going to get very far suing the liberal media. If MSNBC made a false and malicious allegation about the association of FR and the shooter, JR, as a businessman, might.

As far as boycotts, we should get better at that, leftists do that really well, and we don't. I'm not sure why, I expect that conservatives have higher family incomes than the DU/MoveOn types that run their boycotts.

Jill,

The truth is that cynical members of the right-wing are spewing out all sorts of nonsense. People like the shooter at the Holocaust Museum don’t visit left-wing sites ... are you kidding?

They stay in their own world, with like-minded souls who support their viewpoints.

As to who the cyncis are — I don’t count Sarah Palin — she seems like an honest woman. Rush - he’ll do anything for ratings, IMHO. Michelle Bachman — don’t know much about her, except she puts her foot in her mouth a lot.

No - I don’t post on left-wing sites — not a member.

But, there has been a lot of nonsense lately, especially among out-of-power right-wingers who feel that exciting the base is their best way of establish credentials for primary runs.

I was just reacting to baseless accusations of FR, when FR has nothing to do with this.

And, yes, I am aware of the left-wing bias against Israel and the Jews. But, I don’t think the shooter hung out with them or even paid any attention to their rantings.

I know it's not Obama himself, but Chrissy Matthews and his guests are already blaming mainstream conservatives like Rush Limbaugh and Michelle Malkin for the shooting.

I've never heard antisemitism from either Michelle or Rush. You can't control what people like Matthews or his guests who, in this case, are willing to demean the deaths of millions in the name of political opportunism, but you can simply tell the truth when the issue is brought up in your presence.

I agree that birther crap was a stupid hill to fight for. And for crting out loud it was initiated by the Clinton campaign so I’m not sure why so many glommed onto it. They should think more about Nov 2010 and 2012.

BTW, far right, far left, they have their own sites and worldview, but the agree on far more than they disagree on. They hate America as we love it, and selectively hate some of the same groups, some different groups, even each other. For example, David Duke and Rev. Wright would get along just fine if discussing Jews. And they’d ignore skin color.

Eh, I’ll blame the short sentence this guy got in 1983? Only 6 years on a federal charge of attempted armed kidnapping? Caught with a bag full of weapons by a guard outside a Federal Reserve Board meeting?

How could they possibly have felt this guy was no longer a danger to society?

Granted, it was quite a slow burn from 1989 to today.

Now this is ironic....

...the [McCain] campaign has been deluged with demands from reporters that the Palin family submit to DNA testing to assuage baseless rumors promulgated by the Democratic party's favorite website, the Daily Kos. Kurtz writes that Markos Moulitsas, the founder of the Daily Kos, believes the made up allegations against Palin and her daughter are legitimate. Kurtz fails to note that Moulitsas writes for the Post's sister publication, Newsweek. ...reporters are demanding to see the birth certificate for Palin's newborn.
The media [talk about 'birthers']...
