All these indices involving Presidents are imprecise because of Congressional impact on the economy, but at the very least the indices should be calculated by starting 1 year after President taking the office and ending 1 year after his leaving the office, because that’s when the real impact of his economic policies show the most effect.

You would see Republican Presidents greatly benefitting from this “normalized” shift, to the detriment of Democratic Presidents. James Glassman had some very good short study on that more than a year ago.

Take a look at http://www.miseryindex.us/ and see if you don't find what you're talking about.

This chart goes from Jimmy Carter to Fascist Obama.

Obama has spent more money than the first 43 presidents of the USA altogether. He did that in just 3 months time. I was sure that Obama's intention was to bankrupt the USA, but I did not know that he could do it so fast. Even before he was elected, he wrote Senate Bill 2433, so that he could pass out the American funds to all poor people in Africa and around the world. This man had no thoughts for the USA. How long are we going to put up with this?

So you see, FASCIST Obama is currently on stage III of their plan "bring the country to the verge of crisis".

Don't you see it?

And like all other times in history,
the only way out of this mess is to KILL THEM.

Your post begs for clarification. You would not want 0bama’s SS to misconstrue your intentions.

"Now, as president, Obama has repeatedly blamed the current economic recession on President Bush, alleging his administration 'inherited an economic mess' that will take years to resolve," Corsi wrote. "However, a close look at the table below shows that the Misery Index under President Obama is increasing, as unemployment edges close to 9 percent."

Is anyone else curious about the timing and source of the financial crisis that occurred near the end of the Bush Administration? While all financial institutions tanked, George Soros made 8% profit. He is a multi-billionaire money changer with a reputation for causing financial crises. He is also a Bush hating leftist.

If not George Soros, just how was the crisis orchestrated? Why can the banks already return the money they "borrowed" so soon? What is really going on in our economy?

Are you aware that more jobs have been lost with the stimulus than if the government did nothing? If the government did nothing, we have have more employment today.

I like your tag line.
No clarification is needed.
If the Secret Service members were doing their job, protecting us from enemies, foreign and domestic,
Obama wouldn't be in office, period!

unemployment + inflation rate

The formula needs to be updated for deflation, which does not reduce the misery, but increases it likely more than inflation. Obama is fast climbing the Carter chart. Why didn't they update it for last month's BLS numbers? Obama has gained a closer position to Carter in just one month.

Oh please, we don't need another 4 federal holidays for government workers. The best revenge is living well. The second best revenge is watching those with malice fail spectacularly.

Bush tried hard to make it to the end of his term before the real estate bubble burst. He didn't make it. This wasn't Soros, it was failure by Congress and Bush to stop the bubble from growing because they liked the economic numbers at the time.

Yes, I'm curious.
But I believe there's more at play here, than just material values.
Where did I read:(?)

Is there not a price to pay for not OBEYING our God?

I believe you just named "the puppet-master", but he's not alone.
There are many other of Satan's minions eagerly waiting to do his bidding.

Both are very good questions, and some of the answers you seek might be answered in post #7 above.
But I don't have all the answers. I'm just telling you what I think.

Yes, I am, and I think most of my friends are, also. We're not as blind as they believe us to be.

Bush could have VETOED that Stimulus Bill, and he'd been a lot better off.
And so would we!

You are inviting the government to go through everything you own with a fine tooth comb. If anything is out of order you will regret it.

Good post. I explained the Misery Index to a young co-worker just yesterday. He said that I’d been around a long time and asked if the other recessions were like this. After the explanation of the misery that Jimmy Carter inflicted on us I told him about Reagan and what he did to turn this country around. I also told him that other negative dynamics are in play and have taken place that weren’t around during Carter. The scenario is very disturbing, I told him. We are in uncharted territory.

unemployment is at 8.9 percent and the rate of inflation is – 0.74 percent,

I think the unemployment rate is closer to 10%, if not above 10% - since many of the jobs are "partime" jobs - than the 9% referenced above. I'd also bet the inflation rate is more than .74% already.

See my tag line. I feel we will all be wishing for things to be only as bad as they were under jimmah cattah.

Never forget... the demoncraps held the purse-strings during the last two years of Bush' term. It was a demoncrap congress that failed this nation

If people fail to grasp the impending danger; nothing ever will help the United States.

That, I fear, is where you people are.

I realize you probably work for the SS, or are calling the SS to report me to them.

Sheesh!!!
How many threats do they need?!
Did the threats top 2,000 last month, or was it 10,000?
I hope they continue to increase!

And, if you do work for them... if I were you, I'd resign.
Working for a FASCIST is life-threatening, and you can do better than the government.

I laugh at the thought.....

Thanks for the site, excellent info and the chart, makes it visual and easy to draw the conclusions, with or without offsets / shifts for policy effect taking place.

Yes, it is incredibly fast because it is extremely radical and because it’s practically unopposed. Amd don’t forget we lived under some of these policies since 2007 Pelosi / Reid Congress, practically unchecked by President Bush.
