A white supremacist who killed a security guard after opening fire at Washington's Holocaust Museum had links to the far-Right British National Party, a former associate has said.

James von Brunn, described as a 'hard core neo-Nazi', attended meetings of the American Friends of the British National Party, which raised funds for the white supremacist group.

I'm concerned that conservatives accept the state run media's assignation of von Brunn as a right-winger. It’s as if conservatives have bought into the liberal propaganda.

If I were to tell you a guy:

• Believes Jews and Israel are menaces and responsible for all the world’s misery
• Believes society should be segmented by race and lack individual identity
• Believes wacky 9/11 conspiracy theories
• Is an angry miserable misanthrope who feels the system has denied him his just dues

what does that sound like? Every point spells far left extremist. Not conservative by any stretch of the imagination.

This “political spectrum” nonsense that was taught in high school civics is just a simplified stereotype concocted to keep teenagers engaged. It has no basis in reality since everyone is an individual. I know a vegan animal rights activist who has conservative beliefs that could rival anyone on FR.

And if liberals want to play the “political spectrum” game with regard to every killing that takes place, may I direct their attention to a liberal named Kim Jong Il. The BNP is not a white supremacist group.

Almost, but not quite. They are one step down...they are a whites-only party with the goal of rolling back British immigration to post WWII levels. They wish to maintain British culture, which they believe, excludes most immigrants.

They do not believe that one race is superior to another, so technically they are not “supremacists”
