Sarah Palin Is The Future Of The GOP
Gather.com ^ | June 15, 2009 03:27 PM EDT

If the liberal loons would have just shut up after the election in 2008, perhaps Sarah Palin would have been forgotten, a mere footnote in history.

The problem is, the liberal loons just can't help themselves, and are genetically encoded to attack anyone with ideas they deem repellent.

If you're pro life, you're an superstitious idiot. If you're against homosexual marriages you're a evil bigot. If you dare to question global warming, you're a dupe for big business. If you own a gun and like to hunt you're a mindless barbarian.

We all know the predictable screed from the irrational leftist loons.

Sarah Palin reminds the progressive nutjobs of these things, and stands as a symbol for them to mobilize against, mock, and demean. Democrats have a long history of this, calling Ronald Reagan a cowboy, Bush 41 a secret spook, Quayle a dummy, and Bush 43 a boob.

Sarah Palin represents everything the goons on the left stand against.

When you add that to the fact she's smart, good looking, and has a deadly sense of humor-- well, you have the possibility the first female president of the USA could force the first black president of the USA out of office after one term.

Things had better go well for Obama in the next three years, because they will go swimmingly for Palin.

Palin has put together a deal with TransCanada, a pipeline building company, and Exxon, of the oil producing fame, to build a new pipeline from Alaska to the continental USA that will transport NATURAL gas.

I'm not sure many Americans yet realize, but natural gas is going to be a HUGE transitional fuel as we seek "independence from foreign oil supplies."

Natural gas is going to be a very large factor in fueling our cars, as well as our buildings, mainly because the USA has a very large reserve of natural gas at their disposal, and Palin has perfectly positioned herself to take advantage of this confluence of events.

This project ALONE will keep her in the news for the next few years, and I'm sure we can count on the leftist loons like David Letterman to keep her in the headlines as well.

Sarah Palin is the future of the GOP, if they know what's good for them.

Look, just know the truth about the person you are supporting. I’ll try to do the same when the time comes to decide.

In the mean time, I’ll push for Conservative issues because that is the only way to save America.

We can do better, much, much, much better.

O.K., Sherlock, who do you think would be better?

I agree. We can’t forget that words mean things - even when it is a politician using them!

Marx said that capitalism must be destroyed because it enslaved women. In reality, Feminism has done it by destroying the family and leaving “liberated” women dependent on government.

Gov Sarah Palin got waaaaaaaaaay further than old RINO Romney in 2008...

and he had a six year start on her...

(or was it a 60+ year start ??? Old George groomed him for POTUS from the cradle...)

And in 2012 she’ll go the distance...

She just needs another proven consertvative on the ticket with her...

No the difference was one was heavily edited and the other one was not. Fact Gov. Palin controlled both Lauer and Wolfe’s interview and they were not edited.

If a general election were held today, a great many people would be really surprised.

I don’t need people who think like liberals or how Bill Ayers or Ward Churchhil program them to think.

What about Republicans, the good ole’ boys club, they are scared of her big time. Republicans aren’t as savage as the loons....if those republicans know what’s good for them they will support Sarah Palin in every way possible.

Sorry, one speech does not do it for me.

Reagan had almost 2 decades of speeches and used it to develop his platform.

What ideas does Governor Palin bring that will use conservative principles and are 21st century solutions for America?

Not to get sidetracked, but given your high esteem of journalists, what do you think of Palin having a journalism degree? Positive, negative, neutral, anything?
Basically I think it irrelevant, at most - just as race is irrelevant except to note that it takes more character for a black to be a Republican, because all the peer pressure against it. I would think that anyone who went into journalism with idealistic stars in their eyes and taking all the claptrap seriously would either become cynical Democrats or really idealistic Republicans.

Which might be a little scary, only because George W. Bush is idealistic to a fault. A really serious fault.

I am with you there

I am just not ready to give anyone the “mantle” so to speak yet. We have plenty of time before the election to truly vett people

In 1998 I thought George W was amazing. So you see why I want to be careful this time

I’m neither a Romney nor a Huckabee fan, and Palin certainly has plenty of proving to do for me. At least the first two went through the crucible of the 2007-2008 primaries and are still standing. How many debates did Palin win? What did she do to distinguish herself other than being chosen as McCain’s running mate and therefore having the opportunity to look good in comparison to him?

Sorry, I need to see a whole lot more out of her before I consider joining the ranks of the Palin-bots, and, frankly, what I’ve seen so far hasn’t been terribly impressive.

“all of us, who consider ourselves progressive, yet at the same time we can be conservative”

Is this the best you got? If you are going to label her as a political progressive, you better have something relevant.

I certainly would agree with the context of her speech that she is “progressive” in the societal sense of not being representative of a “traditional” female role, wouldn’t you?

I think your point is ridiculous and unfounded.

“To put it politely, Palin has no intellectual accomplishments.”

Oh, you mean she didn’t go to law school, right?

And it is no coincidence that these Fabian Socialists, calling themselves "Progressives", rely on Darwin to justify Marx.

Interesting observation.

“Sorry, one speech does not do it for me.”

One speech should be enough to allow you to tell whether a person is of spectacularly bad character (i.e. the Klintstones, Barry Soweto) or brilliantly good character (Reagan, Palin).

“What ideas does Governor Palin bring that will use conservative principles and are 21st century solutions for America?”

Hype. Human nature hasn’t changed one jot or tittle during all of history. 21st century solutions are the same as 6,000 B.C. solutions.
