If the liberal loons would have just shut up after the election in 2008, perhaps Sarah Palin would have been forgotten, a mere footnote in history.
The problem is, the liberal loons just can't help themselves, and are genetically encoded to attack anyone with ideas they deem repellent.
If you're pro life, you're an superstitious idiot. If you're against homosexual marriages you're a evil bigot. If you dare to question global warming, you're a dupe for big business. If you own a gun and like to hunt you're a mindless barbarian.
We all know the predictable screed from the irrational leftist loons.
Sarah Palin reminds the progressive nutjobs of these things, and stands as a symbol for them to mobilize against, mock, and demean. Democrats have a long history of this, calling Ronald Reagan a cowboy, Bush 41 a secret spook, Quayle a dummy, and Bush 43 a boob.
Sarah Palin represents everything the goons on the left stand against.
When you add that to the fact she's smart, good looking, and has a deadly sense of humor-- well, you have the possibility the first female president of the USA could force the first black president of the USA out of office after one term.
Things had better go well for Obama in the next three years, because they will go swimmingly for Palin.
Palin has put together a deal with TransCanada, a pipeline building company, and Exxon, of the oil producing fame, to build a new pipeline from Alaska to the continental USA that will transport NATURAL gas.
I'm not sure many Americans yet realize, but natural gas is going to be a HUGE transitional fuel as we seek "independence from foreign oil supplies."
Natural gas is going to be a very large factor in fueling our cars, as well as our buildings, mainly because the USA has a very large reserve of natural gas at their disposal, and Palin has perfectly positioned herself to take advantage of this confluence of events.
This project ALONE will keep her in the news for the next few years, and I'm sure we can count on the leftist loons like David Letterman to keep her in the headlines as well.
Sarah Palin is the future of the GOP, if they know what's good for them.
I can articulate the reasons for her perceived superiority, but it’s not the reasons they will acknowledge, like being a good dog fighter. People like that aren’t true conservatives, it is just a ticket to success for them. If they were real conservatives they would care about ethics. And when I say people, I mean Palin. I am not blaming those who have fallen for her sch-tick, just trying to wake them up.

Where is your proof of ethics issues? Just like your baseless charge of plagiarism in college, if you don't have facts to back it up, shut it. You should know better than to make stuff up. Nobody cares about your 'intuition'.

You do realize the plagiarism charge has been debunked. Newt, of whom she was accused of plagiarizing from, even said it wasn’t plagiarism. They both had used quotes from Reagan and had similar comments, but it wasn’t plagiarism, just typical conservative comments.
The media has been pushing that line to the weak minded to try to get it to stick, but it is untrue. Don’t fall for the media and left’s little games. You are smarter than that, aren’t you?
So who is a 'true' conservative to you? Please describe and give us an example.
My favorite part of that Huffington Post hit-piece is where the writer accuses of Palin plagiarizing Gingrich for speaking a sentence after stating "What Newt wrote . . . ." So the only questions that remain are 1. did you even bother to read the article, or 2. do you believe everything you read at the Huffington Post (or do not understand the word, "plagiarism")?
Support who you will. I myself am not fond of her, that’s that, said and done.

I honestly don’t know that I can agree with you there. Other than that she strikes me as an opportunist, I can’t say that I’ve seen anything to indicate that she’s been found to be ethically lacking.
The Letterman thing is a perfect example. I think everyone knows whether they’ll admit it or not, that her use of the word “rape” was pure hyperbole in response to a poor joke. But it was just that, it was hyperbole. It wasn’t slander, it wasn’t fabricated, or anything that I’d consider unethical. It was pure hyperbole, and she was opportunist enough to seize it for effect.
Same for Bristol. You’ll never convince me that her sudden conversion to abstinence wasn’t a ploy to make mama look good. I wouldn’t call it unethical. Some teenager, not seeing through the obvious might even listen to her and some good may come of it. What it is though, is political expediency.
What puts me off about Palin is that to be honest, I just don’t think she’s that bright. She’s certainly not the caliber that we want to lead our country.
Funny, that is how I feel about just about everyone in Washington, New York, the White House, Congress and both parties' leadership. Based on the current condition of the US economy and the actions taken by our "leaders" to date, it would appear that my concerns are valid.
Its time for real change from the outside. No more retreads who simply offer less aggressive liberal "solutions" or think it proper to compromise ones' values for the sake of bipartisanship.
Whether its Palin or not, the next generation of leaders needs to focus on drastically reducing government. We cannot sustain this massive growth of bureaucracy and irresponsible spending. Nor can we tolerate the loss of freedom that comes with bigger more intrusive government.

Seeing as how I made my political bones going door-to-door for Reagan during his first campaign, I laugh. (And it paid off—my precinct went 68% for him—and only 21% for McCain and Palin in the last election. That’s what’s making these people howl.)
