Was the answer you received regarding the ages of the Earth/Universe what you were looking for?

Sorry, I just found post #102.
Thanks to Old Navy Vet for providing the latest scientific theory.
I was really trying to find out if someone with a bible-creation point of view thought that the universe and Earth were created exactly at the same time.
IMHO, both the creationists and scientists are wrong.
But, to each his own.

If all the dinosaurs were alive at the time of the Flood, why did not ONE pair of dinosaurs from the fossil record show up to be put on the Ark?Because they would have eaten all the other occupants before the flood subsided.

Well, I'll be glad to take a crack at both this question, and your original question of whether or not the Universe is the same age as Earth.
Biblically speaking, everything was made all within the space of six [regular] days. (the firmament called Heaven existed at the point when God gathered the waters and caused the dry land to appear, which He called Earth.)
As to age, they may not be the same.
Clocks [and people] traveling at high speeds age slower, and it is my understanding that gravity also slows time down.
All things considered, I have no reason to assume that objects throughout the Universe have aged identically.

The Universe is about 13.7 billon years old. [excerpt]
Actually, the universe is no older than you are.
It was created with the appearance of great age the day you came into existence.
Don't you just hate it when that happens?

Note: in the article, the scientists claim the Earth and Moon are the same age. They also claim that the Moon was once part of Earth. This is possible, but that would mean there was a planet larger than Earth that spawned the two. Wonder what it was called, and did God make it as well?

I remember, long ago, before things like the Hubble Space Telescope, that 'scientists' absolutely believed that our Galaxy was the entire extent of the Universe.
Now we find it's not much more than a grain of sand on the beach.
We now can see the beach for a few hundred feet around us, and we think that is the extent of the Universe.

The Genesis creation account is 100 percent literally true. Well, one has to consider that the account in Genesis is like reading the pages of Cliff Notes of "War and Peace" in random order, with no references.
It may be 'true', but one had to be there to really understand it.

Sounds reasonable.
Building two identical calibrated time sources and placing one on the moon, would be an interesting experiment. (to see if one ran faster, etc)
They also claim that the Moon was once part of Earth. This is possible, but that would mean there was a planet larger than Earth that spawned the two. [excerpt, bold emphasis mine]
Its also
possible that Obozo the Termite is eligible to be Teleprompter Reader of the U.S.
I've not seen the evidence though.
Wonder what it was called, and did God make it as well? [excerpt]
The first part of your question is based on the assumption of what is imagined to be possible.
The answer to the second part of your question can be found in Genesis 1 and John 1 ;-)

“’scientists’ absolutely believed “
Scientists and engineers work with what they know ... and seek to know more.
Amongst that group, the saying is ... “Beliefs belong in church.”

Building two identical calibrated time sources and placing one on the moon, would be an interesting experiment. (to see if one ran faster, etc) Good thought experiment. And a practical one that can still be done (India will sent a probe to the moon for ya pretty cheap).
If they found that one did run faster, I bet there would be much disagreement as to 'why'.

The insanity (or ineptitude) in the design has been the topic of all of my posts on this thread. Yet, what is your point?
For all it's insanity, the design has worked for either 6000 or 14.7 billion years.
In Biblical or Scientific terms, that is forever.
BTW, 99% of life forms on the Earth, since the beginning of time, have gone extinct.
One might see 'insanity' in that.
