“Just don't ask me how long a day was in the mind of the writer.” [excerpt]
Okay, I won't. ;-)

“If they found that one did run faster, I bet there would be much disagreement as to 'why'.” [excerpt]
With the Earth orbiting the Sun, and the Moon orbiting the Earth, the Moon's absolute velocity goes through a cycle that coincides with the lunar cycle.

When the Earth is between the Moon and the Sun, the clock on the Moon should run slower, and when the Moon is between the Earth and the Sun, the Moon's clock should run faster. (I think)

However, I imagine there may be an overall difference due to the difference in gravity.

If the Genesis account of creation is allegory then God is a liar.

If GOD wrote directly into the Bible, and described EXACTLY how the Universe came about (or that it always was, and why), no one would have understood a word of it.

What we have is a description written by man, inspired by God, but in words that men understood, at the time the author wrote it.

God's point in the Bible is not to explain the 'science' of how our Universe works, but to teach us to love God and each other, and live a full life.

Again, the truth is there, but a lot of the details are missing. Also, one must remember that there are many statements in the Bible that require a knowledge of the 'context' of the world at the time.

For instance, why a camel can't get through the eye of a needle.

If that is true, then nobody really knows what time it is. No wonder the moon rises late sometimes.

Its only a difference of ±1 km/s, so the effect that the Moon's velocity might have on a clock on its surface may be hard to detect.

I've been unable to find anything relating to the lesser gravity of the Moon effecting the tuning of radios.

Interesting subject though.
