Many posts and replies indicate that there is a real fear that Obama , who has arrogant despot tendancies , will set himself up as a dictator. As he continues to slip in polling toward Bush and Carter numbers and as his agenda fails to pass this summer many watch nervously to see how he will act out. Keep in mind rule number 1 in setting yourself up as a dictator. It requires the full support of the military. No dictatorship has ever survived or succeeded without the military. The military is usually the source of a coup. Our soldiers are patriots and an overwhelming number of them hate the pretender in chief. The odds of coup against Obama are more realistic than a dictatorship set up by the empty suit. When we look back at this after the 2012 election , after our long national nightmare is over and the pretender in chief is voted out , it will be clear that he was nothing more than an empty suit affirmative action created President that got in way over his head. The democrats will be banished for a generation as we witness the communist pigs they really are.

I believe that the monied interest in this country have already taken steps to protect their money and that they are well on their way towards regime change the next time around. Watch Diane Fienstein and her comments regarding cap and tax. The left is sqabbling and discontent is growing. ‘I won’ is beginning to connect and many people are simply moving to nullify that arrogance.

Your scenario is most plausible, except that I don't think it'll be driven by obama. He doesn't have the brains, the personality, or the courage. He's the Jacko of politics. Whoever it is who feeds material to the prompter will do whatever they can get away with, no more, no less. Whatever it takes, legal or not. A bogus census is a good place to start, putting it entirely in the hands of party loyalists; it'll be like clinton's FBI files writ nation-wide. Etc, etc. Obama is no Stalin. He's not even a Mussolini, or even a Peron. Identify the anonymous oligarchs who would like to own this country in (obama)'s name and we have a first step toward getting to the bottom of this, and maybe even stopping it.

Further proof that Obama just does not have the support of the military. Plus the recent dissing by one Sen.Boxer of a military general confirms what I have always believed.
Isn’t there some way when we vote - we can have our own password attached to our SSN and that way it can only be used once. If you don’t have a SSN then you can’t vote.
You forget folks, many AMERICANS have guns, and sales have gone up bigtime on guns and ammo the last couple of months.

No, I was wondering why the military is the only American organization you trust.
One interesting question that I’ve asked officers is “At what point does your oath to defend the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic kick in in regard to the Congress, the President, and/or the USSC?”
Not many direct answers are forthcoming.
In the US, the military is NOT the only group of federal employees with weapons. Keep in mind that there are over 80 Federal agencies, from FBI and IRS, to EPA, who have armed agents on the payroll. Also keep in mind that soldiers do not have routinely have possession of their arms and ammo while on base, while federal law enforcment is armed 24/7. If federal law enforcement gets populated with Obama supporters over the next 7 years...
