Why Doesn’t Obama Care About Freedom?
Accuracy In Media ^ | June 26, 2009 | CLIFF KINCAID

If you recognize that Obama failed to vigorously and immediately support the pro-freedom demonstrators in Iran, take a look at his attitude toward those suffering under the Castro dictatorship.

An extraordinary editorial ran in the liberal Washington Post on Thursday, June 25, about the indifference of the Obama White House to the plight of those who believe in freedom just 90 miles from our shores. The editorial, "A Dissident Deflected," told the story of how the Obama Administration wouldn't issue a statement recognizing the plight of five human rights activists in Cuba until the Post itself inquired about the matter.

The five leaders of Cuba's pro-democracy movement were recipients of the National Endowment for Democracy's 2009 Democracy Award. It was expected that they would not be allowed by the Castro regime to travel from Cuba to the U.S. to accept their award. But it wasn't expected, at least by the Post, that the Obama White House would seem unconcerned about their struggle for freedom.

“The founders of this country, some of the most brilliant men that ever lived in my opinion determined that it was CRITICAL that the president of the United State be a NATURAL BORN citizen. They knew that only a NATURAL BORN citizen would always place the interests of the US above all others.

Obama was [shows] as much allegiance to the world as he does to the US, democracy, and freedom in general....

Actually the allegiance that Obama shows is to the fascist world, both Communist and Muslim, but precious little allegiance to the U.S.

Time to call our Rep and ask for consideration of impeachment proceedings on this Marxist.

He stood silent as Iranians in the street were slaughtered by a Government that stole an election....totally unlawful...and then wants a lawful procedure in Honduras reversed....

I wouldn’t be suprised if Obama dosen’t care about freedom. Anyone that works so hard to hide his birth certificate couldn’t care about freedom.

I agree with your sentiments, but lets face it, no one is going to go after zero. It would be considered racial profiling. Zero is in for four year to do all the damage he and his gang can possibly get away with along with the idiots in Congress.

Why didn't Mao care about the peasants? Silly question.

Answer: Because of the hideous ideology he held dear.

The WaPo knew exactly what their golden boy would do, but they need an alibi for any future plan B. Thanks Ernest.

Because he’s a liberal, and liberals haven’t cared for freedom since Jimmy Carter was in the White House. I remember when Carter was the “human rights president,” but after his term ended, his motto became “I never met a dictator I didn’t like.”

To care about freedom requires a backbone of courage and to believe in principals that dictate freedom has value.

It's my belief that President Obama has neither.

Control peoples health, you control their freedom.
Control energy consumption, you control their freedom.
Control their money, you control their freedom.
Obama is all about control, not freedom.
