This article is typical MSM. What causes this “violent” Britain? Guns?, knives? Huge increase in Amish? How about disparate immigration over the last 30-40+ years? Anybody want to guess? Oh no it couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the massive amount of third world and Muslim immigration? Just as the overwhelming amount of violence in this country has nothing to do disproportional with blacks or our own immigration policies. Why, just look at the picture they used for the article. It’s them damn Amish yutes!

Depends. The UK had 921 murders vs. 20k for South Africa. Dunno what that is per 100k, but I bet its lower. Maybe you’re just more likely to get your head busted in the UK and more likely to be killed in South Africa.
It also might be the laws. Things that are not considered crimes at all here in the US might be “violent” crimes in the UK. For example, having a box cutter in your car (I read about a newspaper delivery guy arrested for this...) might be a “violent” crime in the UK and normal in the US. I don’t really know how the legal systems compare.
Scotland does not have a soccer hooligan problem, its a misnomer that ALL European countries do.
If Scots do fight, its at closing time on a Friday or Sat night after the pubs close. And most Scots of that age (or 18-65) of course do not have missing teeth etc and are healthy, law abiding subjects.
