In my opinion, she just went way up in my book. It shows integrity to step down from a job (governor) while running for higher office, which is what I'm betting is going on here. It irritates the crap out of me when paid politicians run for higher office while being paid to do another job. Good on her!

Yup. No one likes a quitter, and especially in sports and politics it’s bad form and bad strategy. Especially in light of the recent Letterman and Vanity Fair brewhas, it at least gives the appearance that she can’t take the heat. It’s really inexplicable why she’d resign. Not run again, OK, but to quit mid-term with no extenuating circumstances it just doesn’t sit well.
